I am just curious how many people really own a gun and for what reason. I personally own three (A shotgun and two rifles) and I have them for target shooting and home protection.

My husband has a shotgun and two rifles also. He bascially uses them for the same things you mentioned.

Three rifles a shotgun and two pistols. I use them to satisfy my paranoia

I'm pretty sure I have about 5 around the house. I'll have to take inventory again sometime. I also got a pellet bullet sniper rifle that I use to get the damn pigeons off my roof.

One pistol in the house and one in my car. A shotgun in the basement - this one for recreational purposes. Yes I own them and I live alone.

Statisticly speaking, you are more likely to have your gun used against you by an intruder than to use it against an intruder. You are also more likely to use it on a family member or close friend than anyone else.

We had a break-in where I'm living and the fuckers stole my uncle's PPK, but fortunately they didn't shoot anyone with it (as far as we know).

It was prolly the coolest gun I ever saw, and I don't even really like guns very much. :(

Go to a gun forum or site if you want to discuss this. I've never owned or needed one and I can only hope that everyone will someday be as lucky as me.

That's because you're in Canada. Lucky bastard.

I've had a few friends that owned guns for hunting but when it comes down to having a gun in your car or home for paranoia reasons I find this hard to relate to.

A pistol, and an assortment of rifles and shotguns. All were either inherited or Christmas/Birthday presents.

I like to hunt and do target shooting. Plus I want to make sure I'm well-armed when everything goes to hell.

Just kidding. I want to be well-armed when I go postal.

What I'm saying is that gun looks like Vash's. And I am glad you don't watch Trigun, because with the exception of Wolfwood it sucks balls.

I don't have a weapon now, but I planning first to get a SKS, then a conceled weapons permit and a small Snubnose 38 Special.
Then someday a beefy Colt 45. But all this takes money, and I am jobless right now.

Down here in Georgia we all have guns, and shoot them every time something cool happens. When Braves win a game everyone just points their guns in the air and screams we-haw! and opens fire. I don't think home protection is really in anyone mind here, guns are just for celebrating and accidently shooting one self when they get too drunk.

I've got a Mossberg 590 pump action shotgun. I put the pistol grip back on while I was watching Dawn of the Dead the other day. Mainly used for home defence against imaginary things.

Under my pillow I sleep with a .40 cal Glock 22

Guns are fun :o

Yes they are... At least where I live.

I don't own a gun, would be illegal and there's no need for one. I have been taught how to dismantle an assault rifle, though.

I own five rifles and have 3 pistols. One under my pillow, one in the closet and one in the car. All these fucking A-rabs moved in down the street and you know how thier kind are.

At least this way my family will be protected. Fucking minorites. Why can't they move back to whatever country they are from instead of stealing our jobs? >:

Skeleton Hand is totally safe from people who might threaten him with a gun he just swoops it off their hands and dismantles it in a heartbeat. Awesome. Now fuck off and die.

I'm Canadian, and I don't hunt, so the only gun I've ever used is the NES Zapper.
