Hehe, South Africa is a country full of white people you know. And I don't think that is what you meant when you said the "black attack" would send south africans after Megaman.

I'd hardly call that a country full of white people.

God help me, I remember entering that contest. My brilliant idea? Megaman must fight...the Four Horserobots of the Apocalypse!!! Famine Man, Pestilence Man, War Man, and of course Death Man. All riding their color-coded robot horses. I even remember going to the library to look up a reproduction of the Albrecht Durer print.

Luckily, my mad scribblings were not chosen by the Power Team for inclusion in the magazine. I'd post 'em here, if I still had them, for everyone to have a chuckle at my expense.

Weren't the winning entries supposed to be turned into characters for future games, with credits to the young designers? I never heard about it. Then again, I stopped following Mega Man after about the third or fourth indistinguishable iteration. Plus, that fucking dog.

heh, yeah, voltman or plug man or whatever those two exact same guys were used as one, diamond man became gemini man, i think the atom man/nuke man thing was used, i think maybe scorpian man...ah, fuck it, i give up. someone whos a wee more obsessed with megaman can list them.

I'd hardly call that a country full of white people.Well if you are going ot throw statistics in my face then no. But it still is less black than half the other african countries. Why not Kenya or Ethiopia?

i know for a fact knight man was in it and credited to the kid who won the nintendo power contest for that in the game's credits

Some guy who entered the contest and had his entries accepted actually emailed me about it. Unfortunately, he threw away the approval letter from Nintendo Power and says Capcom never gave him any credit. :(
