It has potential, the only problem is that the show often falls flat when trying to pull off a joke.

Further proof to me that the I-mockery forum is humour handicapped.

Anyone who can say with a straight face that Tom Goes to the Mayor tries too hard to be wacky as opposed to a show called "ROBOT CHICKEN" needs the zanzibar kicked out of them.

The first run of episodes I thought were decent but I wasn't a real fan of the show and even a lesser fan of the animation. Seeing this past Sunday's episode and getting use to the animation has made me a fan of this show. Is someone kind of well known going to be in every episode?

It's not so much that they try too hard to be wacky, they just don't flesh out their ideas.

As for "Robot Chicken", I've never seen it.

I agree with Krythor here. Only stupid faggots don't like Tom Goes to the Mayor. Its connection with Mr. Show alone makes it one of the best shows on Adult Swim.

Of course, I shouldn't expect much from people who think ATHF is the pinnacle of comedy. And you think Tom tries to hard to be wacky? HEY LOOK A TALKING MILKSHAKE SELLS A MEATBALL TO THE CIRCUS RUN BY AN ALIEN LOLZ.

She felt rather uncomfortable and informed the teller of the joke to not be so insensitive of her feelings on the issue.

Notice the subtle differences in the jokes. Maybe one made you laugh, maybe you really hated one. Maybe they are THE FUNNIEST JOKES OF ALL TIME ROFFLE, or they could have really, really sucked.

Adult Swim shows are like that. (I'm not saying adult animated comedy shows are a joke. I happen to like all of the adult swim shows a bit but think they have kinks to work out.)

Tom Goes to the Mayor is the worst, most unfunny cartoon on Adult Swim (As in the cartoons that are supposed to be funny, which excludes the anime. Those are just boring).
