I wish they would run the TMNT episodes from the 80's. That would totally get me to watch Kids WB. :(

I'm more hurt by what they did to Batman. the first episode I saw had the Penguin say "the Osmeister is in the hizzouse" and then do a spinning bicycle kick into Batman's chest.
not even tequila took the edge off that one.

Actually, Batman's been referred to as The Batman ever since his first appearance. Batman is just used more often these days because it's shorter.

I would hate all cartoons if the older one's didn't hold such a powerful nostalgic vice on my happiness. Yeah, chojin is right, young people have a stupid inclination to prefer anything from the 80's these days, even if they are too young to realise that only that less than half of the original TMNT series premeired in the 80's for example.
So to me, every cartoon made within the past 7 years is total crap. But I hate everyone who agrees with me.

There are actually a ton of old cartoons that it seems that no-one but me remembers. There was one with a group of pigs that were supposed to be teenagers living in some town or something and they liked pizza and stuff. It was like an elaboration on the old three pigs thing, but they were hip and rad and there was an entire series. It wasn't that bad.
There's another one with this purple blob thing that I think could turn into anything. He lived on a different world and came here and some other crap but I remember I kinda liked that show too.

The general consensus was that Batman Beyond was good, if not great. It's still unclear why it got cancelled, since it was one of the best-rated shows on the station at the time.
And the new TMNT isn't too bad, either. It's not MY taste, for sure, but it seems like they did a fairly good job with it.

What's weird about most of these cartoon voice actors is that they have a startling lack of versatility (unless you count accents).
For example: Billy West's Fry sounds exactly like his Stimpy. If you watch Futurama with your eyes closed, it makes for a funny mental picture.
Cowboys Of Moo Mesa was horrible, but for some odd reason everytime I see it mentioned I can remember the theme song.

Don't forget Frank Welker, Jeff Bennet and Tony Jay.
I really like Tony Jay, but I think he was a baaaad choice for Magneto in X-Men Legends...I keep thinking of Megabyte from reboot:(

There's also Scott McNeil, who was in a lot of stuff. But then he started doing mainly anime.

For example: Billy West's Fry sounds exactly like his Stimpy. If you watch Futurama with your eyes closed, it makes for a funny mental picture.
Billy West also voiced Farnsworth and Zoidberg, though. That right there is a perfect counterpoint to your comment. He is quite versatile, and with his resume, it's hard NOT to have a voice or two that end up overlapping in similarities.
How many voices can YOU do that don't result in your killing your throat by doing on a regular basis?

Billy West is an extremely talented voice-over. He has helped make Zoidberg one of the greatest fictional characters ever created.

OK, I admit I stand corrected, but looking at the basics, Fry and Stimpy are lead characters, and the lead characters he voices do sound alike.
Doug, for example.

I was thinking more like Virgil from Mighty Max, but that also means I agree with you. It's a bit bizarre to hear the owl from Mighty Max threatening to destroy the X-Men.

About that pig one mentioned earlier, did the pigs fight in medieval times too? I remember an SNES game based on that.

its wierd how tony jay plays a good 'narrator' or disembodied voice role
soul reaver - elder god (mostly in the form of a disembodied voice)
time bandits - disembodied floaty head thing
hey arnold - disembodied voice
