IGN reviewed the Pete & Pete DVD that is going to be put out soon. I know a few folks here were really looking forward to this (unless I'm getting my message boards mixed up).

Anyway, the video quality of the DVDs got a 1 out of 10 from IGN. Citing technical errors, poor transfer, off colors, and more.

Sound doesn't fair much better, getting a 3 out of 10. The said English is the only available language, and no subtitles. Background hissing can be heard throughout the audio.

Such a fucking disappointment.

Yeah, but you're forgetting that you don't know anything about anything.

I guess the job was put in the wrong hands. That's pretty depressing. :/

I don't really care enough about video quality to not get it.

They only gave the video a 1/10, the DVD itself got 7/10. The screens don't look too bad, but then again they're not in motion and I could be horribly wrong.

SYS and Rocko's Modern Life are a couple names on the list. Right now, they're released Clarissa Explains It All, and Pete & Pete, and they'll release other series if the sales for these two are good.

Which seems iffy right about now.

Maybe we should all do our civic duty and buy them just so we can get these other ones released.

cant say i'm suprised. paramount has a reputation of putting out shitty dvds. this still pisses me off though

Maybe we should all do our civic duty and buy them just so we can get these other ones released.

But, if this is the quality we can expect, do we really want to get the others released? I'm conflicted by my love of Pete & Pete, and my love of DVDs that don't look like pressed hot shit.

Rongi, the blame falls more on Nickelodeon than Paramount. Paramount only put out what was given to them. Unless I'm missing something, and Paramount is a parent company of NIck, but I thought that was Viacom.

In other news, Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida was shut down last month. :(

Any known reasons why? I thought that place had enough green slime to generate its own electricity.

The blame has to fall on Paramount somehow. And if it's not their fault this time around, they still deserve to be punched in the ear for everything they've put out the last years. Not only are their releases terrible, they have also put discs they've known to be faulty on the market to cash in on shopping-heavy holidays.
