Even Lain on the first watch made more goddamn sense than this show :(

I hate anime but I still watch it :(

FLCL is probably one of the greatest things ever. Funny and great animation and you can go fuck yourself, Emu.

You gotta watch it twice to really get it, but for you, I'll put up some spoilers.

!!!SPOILER!!!










Haruko is a space pirate who is trying to save the Pirate King from Medical Mechanica. She uses Naota for this by turning his head into a stargate type dealy. She coverts one of the robots popping out to the good guys' side and stuff happens. Naota eventually gains the Pirate King's powers for a moment and prevents Haruko from destroying the world. The Pirate King is lost again and Haruko leaves again.

Lots of fighting and guns and oh my God the Guitar Battle at the end is awesome.

Seriously, the animation is really, really good, and the fight scenes are just tops. It's also funny, but really, you have to watch it again. You've already seen a lot of stuff now, so you can focus more on the story than on the visuals.

The great thing about FLCL is that it doesn't make any sense the first time through...although some parts of it are reminiscent of BATTLE SEIZURE ROBOTS :x :x

btw biggame, the kickass soundtrack was done by some band called The Pillows

In japanese it is Furi Kuri, but their R kinda sounds like an L, that's why when you go to the asian buffet they all say "Herro!"
