Thats the way it should be... in fact he should just do all the music in the world... it would be a much better place.

Sorry only people who actually know how to make films... since everyone seems to love this topic so much you should go check out Charlie and the Chocolate Facotry, the Burton/Depp/Elfman power-trio have definitely done it again.

I can't tell if you're joking or not. You make a thread about Tim Burton, and then berate the directing ability of others?

I think Tim Burton is an awesome director, I've liked mostly everything he's done. As for the Smith and Raimi comment... I like thier movies but I don't think they are quite the same caliber as Tim Burton.

I say we turn this thread into being about how great Danny Elfman is... since I don't even know what it's about anymore

Have you seen Beetlejuice? He definitely cannot be serious...

Also Oingo Boingo is one of my all time favorite bands... Hence the main reason why Danny Elfman is so amazing. I thought the Oompa Loompa songs in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory were the most Oingo Boingo-ish music I've heard in any of the films hes done.

it's kinda true. i had a taste of psuedofame as a regional dj and all it got me was free drugs and a shitload of people who knew who i was and expected me to know who they were...

actual fame would have to be even worse.

He really doesn't seem like the kind of person that would be effected by fame... he is just in the business becuase music comes so natural to him.
