Uwe Boll defends his films

http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60731

"The House of the Dead was "complete crap", he admits, but he also reckons that's largely because SEGA didn't get him involved until it was too late. Apparently he had to make up 50 per cent of the dialogue on-set and it's still "cheesy" because "there are no characters"."

yep, segas fault.

Does he have anything to say about Alone In The Dark?

"but refuses to apologise for Alone In The Dark, pointing instead to the film's success outside of Western cinemas and decent returns from rentals and DVD sales. He reckons that Tara Reid's acting was "the only weak part", and insists that most of the negative reaction to his films comes from people who haven't seen them."

and my favorite bit:

"He also has a few words on the people who continually insult him on message boards and websites. Apparently he reads a lot of it. "Like, there are some hardcore fans who you never can satisfy because they played that game over and over again and they have their own movie in their head, so no matter what you do, they don't like it," he says."

Cripes, even the still pictures look bad.

Look at the first picture. What the hell is that light at the top? It doesn't fit the scene, and it doesn't look like it was supposed to be part of the set. SEGA'S FAULT

Edit: Okay, I've never played Bloodrayne, but I guess it takes place in medieval times? That makes the electric light make even less sense. I thought it was some renaissance fair or something.

All of Uwe's movies are amazing. They're epic. They're a necessary part of everyone's DVD collection. And I AM serious about that.

Lol. There wasn't a deep story in the game itself.

yea but watching character die in game over like cutscenes sucked >: anyway bloodrayne is a vampire woman who fights nazis. i think she is some kind of special agent for the us army. not some ancient blade like slayer vampire.

in the alone in the dark commentary he mentions how in the house of the dead game all you had was people shooting zombies with guns, and that all the movie had, so it was aparently the perfect video game movie.

please watch this commentary!

That would be true if he hadn't tried to throw in a plot. And if it wasn't for all the random teenagers having sex.
