I personally cna't wait to give it a try. Rumor has it that Wolverine is a boss on Venoms story :O

Yes, but Venom doesn't have web swing. He has "super jumps" :(

I guess they took the best of SP-2, and ultra cell shaded it, and patched up some annoying camera angles, and made the game Ultimate.

That was in the ORIGINAL Spiderman story. In "Ultimate", the characters are very different. Venom can shoot out tentacles to latch onto buildings and "zip" up walls (wall climbing still survived), but swinging has been eliminated in the new incarnation. However, Venom is a much darker character. To keep his health up, he must devour NPCs.

I just finished the story and I'm quite satisfied. The only gripes I have is, climbing walls sucks, chase levels suck, but other than that it's pretty solid. It was short though. I beat it in like 6hrs. But theres ton of side shit to do and a bunch of unlockables. Definatly a rental. Also, if you're not familiar with UM's story, it's a stark contrast to regular SM. It may offend the hardcores out there.

is there any venom free roaming levels? ive only played as him in the brief story sequences and i want to start jumping around NY

Not 'till you beat the story. Then you can switch whenever you want and wreak havock and do his races. That's about it.
