He created such shows/characters as Space Ghost, Birdman, and Sealab 2020 among many others, so you could pretty much say that he is pretty much responsible for Adult Swim (pretty much)

Didn't he write Johnny Quest too? So we've got Venture Bros

He created the characters and animated it, but I don't think he wrote it. Jixby? :eek

Yeah, he just made the characters. I think it's a stretch to say that shows like SG:CtC wouldn't exist without him. It might not have been called Space ghost, but surely they could have grabbed some other cheap cartoon characters to fill that spot.

Well considering that pretty much all of the repurposed cartoon comedy shows on adult swim are based on alex toth's source material I think its safe to say that he has the MAGIC TOUCH for what inspires hip, southern comedy writers that work at Cartoon Network. I mean, when Adult Swim premeired every show on the block except Aqua Teen Hunger Force was based on Alex Toth shows.

Alex Toth, or whoever else could have made crummy cartoons that Turner could've secured the rights to for nothing. Really, if AS didn't make those new shows featuring those old characters, the name Alex Toth would be of no interest to anyone but die-hard fans of old cartoons.

Alex Toth was also an artist of some repute for DC Comics in the late fifties and early sixties.
