BattleField 1942 The Complete Collection.
If you like Action/Adventure games Beyond Good & Evil is a FANTASTIC game. It may be hard to find seeing as how I was one of the 10 people to buy it and stores wouldn't carry it.

It certainly did back in 1996, but I quickly got over it. (That switch to a paygame did not help any matters either)

I remember trying to play continuum back when we had an I-Mock server but the people there shot me and said mean things about me :(
Anyway, if you're looking for something new and unique, check out the Fire Emblem games if you haven't already. They're awesome :o

Switch to a pay game? It originally cost 20-30 bux to buy, but it's been a free game for a long time.

It was free until mid-1997, then it started dwindling down its userbase because no one wanted to waste bux on a cd for a free game they have played alot before.

**update**
went out and bought romance of the 3 kingdoms VIII and Michigan, so heres my brief views on each in the few hours i played them
Romance of the 3 kingdoms VIII (ps2):
chinese historical turn based strategy/politics game, sounds and looks like the most boring concept ever, but for some reason its quite engrossing and addictive, as far as i can tell its going to take about a decade to finish one of the many scenarios, but i think ill keep playing at it
Michigan (ps2):
a sort of interactive movie/survival horror game where you play a camera man and have to follow around a reporter and sound guy around the monster infested abandoned city of Chicago. has by far worse voice acting than any resident evil game, but that makes it quite hilarious (plus any game that gets you bonus points for pushing a woman over and getting shots of her panties is a plus)
