People here complain that we get too much snow and it's too damn cold out during the winter time. Now everyone's complaining about the heat. It never ends.

Yesterday it was over 100. Today the humidity is so high it feels like yesterday plus drowning. Not at work though becuase they air condition us.

We had a week of 100+ tempratures here in the NW in mid july, and NOBODY here has air conditioning outside of there car. Anywhere.

It is humid here, there are freakin storms all AROUND Lawton. It sucks. My shirt sticks to me and I'm not even sweating.

Maybe you should stop wiping your boogers on your shirt then

Temeratures here have risen as high as 35 degrees! The english are not prepared for this!

My point is, this isn't working for me. As I get older I find myself dealing better with the cold. Each winter is easier on me because of my walrus like coating of middle aged blubber. The heat, not so good for Max.

For those of you keen on imagining me, I want you to know I am still under two hundred pounds.

But I am only 7 and one eights inches tall.

And to think I wanted to go to Chicago to cool off...

Chicago's not as hot as the rest of the state cuz they have the lake blowing a breeze in :( It's always really cold when I go there

Yes, this is true. But let's not forget about what happened in 1995 when that particular heat wave came. Something to do with the Urban Heat Island effect. It's happened in other cities as well. Glad to see it's not the case up there this time. :)

It's 105 in Lawton, and in a town not fifty miles away it was 79. What the hell is going on? I'd hate to believe this is global warming. Oh well. It just gets worse every year. Next year it'll be even hotter and you'll still bitch about it. HAHA. I laugh at all of you. I'm skinny as hell and thrive in the heat.

The weathers been getting milder recently.

Supafly is right. 100+ humid days in Washington. The most northern state of the continental U.S.A.

This is just insane. Washington shouldn't be this hot.
I won't blame global warming, but at the same time, our living records only date back a couple hundred years. How do we not know that at time the earth does get warmer. We know our orbit around the sun is not perfectly circular. So maybe at times, we swing closer for a period of a hunderd years?

St. Louis. 101 degrees plus 95% humidity. Fuck all of you.

Usually it's around 110 here around now since technically we're in the Mojave, but it's actually been really mild lately, in the 90's with 35% humidity.

all I know is that I just checked the northwest, the northeast, and the south and it's like 70 degrees up there and breaking 100 down here.

If any of you work indoors, STFU. I just got back from a full day of ripping out a roof. I'd bitch about it but I need to go soak in cold water.

Sspad; I was born in St. Louis, but my parents got me the hell out before I could remeber having been there. Last good thing they did for me.

Mike, isn't roofing, like, the job of choice of people in halfway houses? What crimes did you commit to get sentenced to roofing?

Mike
Aug 5th, 2006, 06:51 PM
I committed the crime of majoring in something that won't put bread on the table until I've got a masters degree in it. I'm just having a bitch of a time getting a job that pays enough for the time being and until I do, construction is basically all I can find.

I was in Chicago and then Paris and it's a nasty hotter in Paris.
Try riding the metro, you will sweat buckets and will need a towel.

FirstMate
Aug 6th, 2006, 05:49 PM
That sounds more like the Metro here in DC during rush hour.
They're supposedly air conditioned, but the hotter it gets, the fewer the cars with working AC.

Going home and getting nasty sweaty on the train is one thing...you can always change..its the morning commutes that suck.

Not bad here in DC today. About 96 was the high and suprisingly...it wasn't 1000% humidity today either. A really nice August/summer day for here.

Bod

Well England has gone cold and shit again. Take it that's the summer over.

we came home from the outer banks to a broken a/c. :( it's virtually impossible to sleep in 90 degrees at almost 8 months pregnant. :( it was cooler on the freakin' beach. >:
