HELL YES. If a sequel would instantly excite me, it would be this. I don't think there is better, more realistic zombie flicks out there.
BUT WHY DOES IT SAY "THE PRODUCERS" AND NOT "THE DIRECTOR" !?!?!
This is making me think it will suck :(

Probably wouldn't be as good anyway, but I hope it is. The first one is one of the best newer zombie movies around.

It doesn't look as visually striking as the first one. In fact it looks kind of made for TV.

wait, if this is the sequel of the movie i think it is (where the british guy wakes up and monkeys have escaped and spread an experimental disease everywhere that has killed almost everyone, etc.) then we can expect:
RAGE INFECTED MONKIES!!!!
woot! Those were the coolest monkies ever!
and the movie was pretty kick-butt too.:)

Yeah, Danny Boyle didn't direct, but I think he is a producer.

This one looks too action oriented compared to the original. The Original was good for the beginning, where they set up that feeling of complete isolation. Just shots of the street completly barren and lifeless. Too bad there werent any real zombies, just people with a crazy virus.

i loved 28 days, so hopefully this will live up to the name....
But don't get your hopes up people - how many good sequels have been made?
Not many.
