I just stepped on the claw part of a claw hammer. There's now a half-inch-deep hole on my heel that won't stop bleeding. I'm starting a pile of band aides that have been completely soaked with blood and won't stick to my foot anymore because they're too wet. With blood.

Also, the flap of skin that used to cover the spot where my hole is has turned a very dark purple color. Almost black. I hope that's just blood.

You need more than a wet tissue! You need something to actually clean the wound. Antibiotic soap or iodine. Hydrogen peroxide will work well. Did you also apply direct pressure? Also, make sure the bleeding stops before you concentrate on cleaning it. DON'T USE A TOURNIQUET! If the blood soaks through a bandage, don't pull them off! Keep layering them. Trust me. And ELEVATE THE WOUND!
Why did you leave the goddamned hammer lying around in the first place?!
If it won't stop bleeding, go to the hospital. Or call 911.

At least it stopped bleeding. Maybe I will wash it with soap. But then again, maybe I'll win the lottery too. :(

I didn't leave the hammer out. My little brother did. He was building some miniture golf thing for a geometry project and left all his tools on the floor. At least I didn't step on the drill or the box cutters. :(
