I know that he was old, but this man is one of my all time favorite actors. He was still handsome into his 80's, I'm honestly saddened about this.
Anyone who brings Atticus Finch to life should get to be immortal :tear

That really sucks. :( To Kill a Mockingbird has some of the finest acting ever, and his performance was the best.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Gregory Peck is the actor that I respect most. He did intelligent, politically incorrect films that other actors wouldn't even dare. Like for example the anti-semitism in Gentlemen's Agreement (1947), racism in the southern U.S. in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), even human cloning in The Boys from Brazil (1978), and my all-time favourite, the anti-nuclear war film On the Beach (1959).

Alfred Hitchcock called Gregory Peck "the most anecdoteless man in Hollywood." And Peck once said, "The one question that never fails is: 'Who's your favorite leading lady?' And of course I never answer it ... because some of these ladies are still alive and well."
It's a shame actors today aren't as classy as he was.
