emulator question

i downloaded an emulator for the nes, but i cant play the game i downloaded on it. (i dont have a copy of the game, but cant find one) i tried to download final fantasy 3 for the nes.
does anyone know how the emulator works and what do i need to get to get it to work?

well, i downloaded nester. i always get tons of junk about moving the file or something every time i clicked on the downloaded ff3 file.

try opening it from within Nester. you might be having some file/app association problem

i have no clue how to do that.
i only know how to download the stuff but that's about as far as i get. can someone tell me step by step what exactly i need to do?
the file it goes to is called "winzip" and it might have problems, but i dont know. can someone help me?
