I want to get a new PS2 game but I'm conflicted in what to buy.

The local Gamestop has three games I want for about the same price. I can't decide between these:

Okami ($35, with 3 copies left -- I'm leaning mostly toward this one)
Katamari Damacy ($30 with one copy left, probably going to sell soon)
Shadow Hearts ($30 with two copies; don't know a lot about it but I hear it's good)

HELP ;(

I don't know about the price issue, but I know you'll thank yourself for having Katamari in your collection. It's the kind of game you can just pop in at any time and have fun with. Looking at your collection, it seems like you have almost nothing except story-based games. So having a simple game like Katamari on you might do you good for when you've exhausted all your other games. Of course, if Chojin's right about the price, you should probably wait until you find it cheaper. :\

Or you could just play solitaire. Whatever.

Unless you mean Beautiful Katamari, wtf.

Katamari --> Okami --> Shadow Hearts

No, it's Katamari Damacy. The one with the cows on the front. 30 bucks, used.

Edit:http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/product_5dots.gif Love it Reviewed By: Matt's name Date: Sunday, April 08, 2007 I had nothing going for me and was going to take my own life but then i saw that this game was going to come out so i didn't kill my self. then i played it and that is why i am going to stay alive!

:lol

Fucking Gamestop always screws you on relatively rare games. I bought a (partially) nonfunctional copy of Silent Hill 1 from there, no case, no instruction manual, for 25 dollars. I took it the fuck back after it didn't play any cutscenes, went down to GameCrazy and bought the same damn game for 10, then bought Silent Hill 3 for 10 more, and I still had 5 dollars left over. :rolleyes

In light of that, I decided to forgo Katamari for now until I can find it cheaper. I found a nice pawn shop today that I had never been in and found Mario Kart: Double Dash and Siren for 10 bucks each so I decided to pick those up instead.

Okami first, then Katamari. I own both, and Okami made me like RPGs ;o That's a high claim from a girl.

I thought Okami was an action adventure game in the vein of Zelda?

I've never once seen Katamari over 20 bucks. That was kind of their thing, part of their indie cred, if you will.

Never underestimate Gamestop: they will stop at nothing to fuck you and your kids. I have a buddy who worked there. The employees take home copies early of new releases and play them, repack them, and sell them to you as "new". They'll buy your brand new Final Fantasy XII for $5, then turn around and resell it for $30. I fully intend to start abusing their "If you don't like it, return it in 7 days" policy. Cause fuck 'em, that's why.

I fucking hate it when places do that. I get the reasoning behind it but they screw you with such a straight face that it hurts. I once sold 6 NES games for 5 dollars (a bunch of cheap duplicates like SMB3 and TMNT1 :< ) and then I turn around to see one of the copies of SMB3 I sold (because it had my name on it :rolleyes ) selling for... $8.

fcuk

Anyway, I'm finding much better shit in independent places like pawn shops that sell all of their games for one fixed price and don't know the difference between FF12 and Madden '04.

I would've suggested Shadow Hearts 2. It's in my top three of Best Games i've Ever played.

Hey fag, if you haven't gotten Okami yet, it's coming out on the Wii in the very near future.

MABYE THAT WILL SWAY YOUR DECISION ABOUT CONSOLES A LITTLE BIT.
