Soooooo..... I'm alking through the airport at Indianapolis when what do I see but a god damn vending machine full of IPODS, GPSs, and related accesories. I approached this "machine" and learned that not only do the IPODS cost over $400. First it was self checkout counters at grocery stores and walmart, now they have done away with the need for stores altogether.

I wanted to take a picture of this thing but apparently were not supposed to use cameras on airport property. I just dont get it, of all the things to sell out of a vending machine, electronics?

I went to the Carrier air conditioner plant to give quick training seminar in pnuematic automation. I have a feeling I'll be back there soon since theres so many customers there. I was in Detroit two weeks ago and St Louis before that. One of the few things that dissapointed me in Japan was the lack of odd vending machines. On the other hand there were plenty of regular vending machines... One every 50 meters, even in the more rural areas.

The weirdest I saw was one that sold Porn. It wasn't like I had to look for it either, it was right in the middle of a busy subway.

I-Pod vending machines are almost as amusing as the slot machines I saw in the Vegas airport (you're in Vegas for fuck's sake, can you not walk 10 feet to the nearest casino?) and just as ludicrous as the flower vending machine in airports (Here's some dying flora, please sleep with me), but the best thing I've ever seen in a vending machine was while I lived in Hong Kong and discovered that they sold bean curd flavoured popsicles. That looked like strawberry popsicles, with everything written in Cantonese. That was a fun learning experience.
