Just a simple question for my other forum goers. I just want to know how many of you are stuck working Christmas like myself.
I work Christmas Eve 2-10:30 then Christmas Morning 8-4:30
Such is retail. Just want to know that others out there have to suffer like myself.

When I worked in an ER, my boss used to give me all the holidays because "you don't have any kids and you don't need to be off like your coworkers do".
I worked every Christmas, New Year's, Easter, etc for years.

I get the same spiel, My sick Grandparents don't matter more than healthy Kids. Hopefully nothing happens.

That is why I tell people as little as possible about myself, and then the boss asks 'Family?" I tell a creative truth, "Yep, 2 mouths to feed" Of course what I omit is those mouths belong to cats :P

I'm working tonight till 6pm, then tomorrow on christmas from 8a - 1p which isn't that bad. At my company we have to sign up to work either 1 major holiday(xmas or thanksgiving) or 2 minor holidays(4th of july, memorial day, etc). Hopefully it will be slow.
