My history teacher is like that. She knows nothing about what she teaches and makes us do worksheets all day. :(

I had alot of "instructors" (as that is what they called themselves) at AIP that where like that.
Especially Art History, he was great, he talked so much you could leave his class and he wouldn't even know it.
And it wasn't that big of a class.

My Social Studies teacher is a joke. This is her first year teaching, and we ALWAYS do one of three things: Take notes, watch video and takes notes, or read in text book and answer questions.

Today at school my friend gregg tryed to start a revelution because everybody wanted it to be a snow day today.. He went around class to class getting people to walk out, he evn wrothe "vive le revolution" on some chalkboards... but he got caught and now him and a bunch of people have saturday school.

I'm actually enjoying this year. The professors are giving me tons of leeway and I'm feeling more productive for the first time since I got here.

My English teacher is a pretty good guy, but. He is normally a LATIN teacher. And he even said. "I like Latin more then English." :(

At my old high school, we had a teacher that taught history, english, and latin. And she was good.

Oh, and plenty of people like Latin over English. It's a lot easier to write poetry in, for one thing.

I was in normal school for all my life.

Then i went into independent study were i do all my work at home, i only have one teacher, and he is more of a motivater than a teacher.

I have seriously learned more in the few months I have been in Indo study than i have in the 11 years i have been in normal school.

and getting up at 11:00 in the morning isnt so bad either.

whether thats true or not, its a funny thing, it reminded me of my high school math teacher who was a stoner himself. he'd show up every class, blazed out of his mind. during this one session, he was teaching the class about lcd, he accidently said 'lsd' twice. oh gee i wonder what gave away the fact that he's a drug addict?! :eek

i cant really blame them for turning to drugs and booze after years of teaching. it must get pretty boring giving same lectures one semester after another.

We terrorized our Spanish teacher until she finally cracked and cursed out the class. She got fired.

I had a teacher when I was 13 who left Brighton to start a new life with her hubby on a farm in the country. She told us how they had bought a shotgun together. Two weeks after they moved hubby shot her to death with it and then killed himself.

The moral: Farming is a bit tougher than it looks.

Instructors like that would leave me a confused state of frustration. You want to do well to keep up your GPA and get all your required classes out of the way, so sometimes you want an easy instructor for a course just to get it out of the way. Well, that's the way I used to feel if I had a heavy class load sometimes. Other times, you feel that, if you're spending your money and you're truly interested in the major that you're pursuing, then you want to get the bang for your buck with a good instructor.

In the 5th grade my math teacher was a real asshole, he would give barebones lectures that had nothing to do with math, then he would give you work on highschool level algebra, and plus if you asked him something he would yell at you for "not paying attention".
