There are about ten trillion websites out there that are sickeningly similar to this one. It just proves how good a job Rog does. :)

That place sucks shit. I went to thier forum and there were people there with similar avatars but they were all happy and shit. It was like a paralell universe except i-mockery is the evil one where monkeys rule and the statue of liberty is just a big statue of that cobra guy from that popular animated series.

Laff, nobody's ripping anybody off. There's a lot of sites out there that deal with pop culture out there, and some of them are bound to cross paths at some point as far as subject matter goes. As long as someone isn't copying what I do word for word, I could care less if another site writes about the same material that I do.
Hell, last Halloween Matt from X-E and I made an agreement not to visit each other's sites for the entire month because we were dead sure that we were both going to end up writing about the same stuff and didn't want to influence one another. :P
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to my plagiarism. ;)

I hear Penny Arcade has some pretty neat stuff. And they're so underground, I'm sure no-one will miss a few of their strips.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic here.
Back when I first started frequenting these boards -- ezboard style -- I didn't even know about the rest of the site. I managed to get dragged onto the Anti-Rave board (which was the place to be at the time. fuck General Blabber) by a candy kid I went to school with. She dragged me on there to try and defend her.
Because we all know I love candy kids.
Anyway, yeah, I still don't really read the site often, but I do have to compliment the content there. I come here mainly for the Politics board now.

It's scary how similar the results are sometimes when two people write about the same movie, game etc. I've gone back and edited my own stuff at times because I've suddenly found another (and older) article about the same subject matter and seen that one of the paragraphs are damn near what I wrote, word for word. It's kinda scary, because once someone suspects you've ripped someone off someone once, they will assume you've done it a hundred times.
And like Rog kind of said, no site on the net is in its own little bubble. Genres started establishing themselves pretty fast when netsites began popping up, and I-Mock, X-E, Seanbaby, Poprocks and other similar sites will all nearly automatically share a lot of traits. Some are almost impossible to avoid (the same movies will be reviewed), others are used consciously to help the readers identify the genre of the site they just stumbled across.

The only exception is satire sites, which ALWAYS rip off The Onion. >: :rolleyes

Thanks :)
Wait, "had"? I hope this is a "s and d are neighbors on the keyboard" thing and not a "the last piece about mayo and Snickers sucked enough to topple the entire site" thing.

Poprocks and Coke said that Toy Story 2 Wasn't in Theaters! Now i'm not to sure about this but i think a movie with a budget OVER $2million is destined for a theatrical release?

You ain't killing them de facto like, you don't have that ability, yet. :/
It seems more like... putting in a speedbump.
Screwing up the flow of the thread.
