I drew this for a very dear friend of mine for her birthday last week. I sorta hate it but she loved it and I'm posting it because this is the first time I've "painted" in over a year and you'se gonna looks at it.

Haha I really like it too actually. It's fun. Why do you hate it?

The hair seems a little flat, but I really like how you've captured the eyes.

I think it looks fine.

How'd you give it to her? Photo printer, or digital?

Is her grill that jacked up in RL?

Regardless, GJ.

It you mean her teeth, then yeah, she needs the braces. That's why I tried to leave as much detail out of her teeth as possible.

And to grislygus, she wanted both, but the gift really was just to be drawn. People seem to like that a lot.

Does this...friend of yours think you creepy for drawing her on every important date, or just cheap?

Do YOU even get dates yourself buddy?

I agree with the statement about the hair on the first one, feels like you're implying she was dropped at birth. It looks like you had a bit of a hard time trying to keep her face from going flat when you were doing her left side. The most I could think of for helping would be a slight detail on the tear duct on just the right side of her face, since it is the focal point and all.

Anyhoo, the second one is awesome.

She used to always fix it in a faux-hawk, before she started the afro, which looks horrid when drawn in one flat color. I think if cleaned up the sketch lines more that 'flat' appearance would go away, at least disproportionately- I think the whole think looks dimension-less. I have no idea how it got away from me so bad now that I look at it. I think I was in a hurry or something and assumed I would clean it up later- because its pretty sloppy.
