My wife loves House. And she wants to sit on Hugh's face, too. I like the fact that he's a cynic and doesn't pull punches. On the other hand, the premise tires me. I still watch it because it's one of the few shows that she enjoys that doesn't make me want to open fire on a petting zoo.
That show and King of Queens are "our" shows. Now she's on to watching some crazy reality Janice Dickensen's Modeling Agency or something. Pretty people + drama. Oi vey.

My wife loves House. And she wants to sit on Hugh's face, too. I like the fact that he's a cynic and doesn't pull punches. On the other hand, the premise tires me. I still watch it because it's one of the few shows that she enjoys that doesn't make me want to open fire on a petting zoo.

House is such an asshole, but you end up loving him because he's funny, good at what he does, and he does have the patient's best interests at heart.

House is great. Hugh Laurie is really good, before House though I've only seen him as the crook in 101 Dalmations and as a contestant in an episode of the Young Ones. My roommate just got season 1 of house so I'll be watching it when he's done.

I've heard "A bit of Fry and Laurie" is really good too, just haven't seen it yet.

i dont think ive ever seen the first season, but i love house. the formula for the show is the same every episode, but it doesn't get tired. also, the big thing on this show for me is the relationships between the characters. like, the whole show's seasonal storyline (as opposed to the individual episodes which focuses more on the patients they deal with) is character driven

I lost interest after the first couple of seasons. His character just refuses to develop and has become a cartoon at this point. Big fan of Hugh Laurie though and it still beats Grey's Anatomy and Bones any day.

i have to disagree with you there; he's still an asshole for sure, but his character has developed in the relationship sense (his interactions with his team, cuddy, wilson, etc.)

also, this season is probably going to mostly revolve around house and wilson's relationship... i'm bad at explaining myself :(

oh and the actress who plays cuddy was in a seinfeld episode! the one about faking orgasms. she said her sex with george wasn't as good as the risotto! :lol

gotta say i was kinda disappointed with tuesday's episode. really hard to follow, and it didn't deal too much with the house/wilson thing, other than "sorry wilson" "too bad house" >:

I dont regularly watch the show, just every now and then. I caught an episode the other day where Wilson was pissed off at House and didnt want to be friends anymore or even talk to him. Whats up with that? What did House do to piss off Wilson? He was the one guy House wasnt a total ass too.

House was indirectly responsible for the death of Wilson's girlfriend Amber. Its a long story, but in summation, House was out drinking, was too drunk to drive, Amber went to pick him up at the bar, took him back on a bus, the bus crashed and Amber died, despite House repeatedly risking his own life to save her. However, this is not the reason that Wilson gave for his leaving the hospital. Wilson says that he doesn't blame House, and the he isn't leaving because of Amber's death, he's leaving because their relationship is codependent and he's tired of enabling and protecting House. He tells House that they are no longer friends, and he's not sure if they ever were. Wilson is trying to move on, so he naturally doesn't exactly appreciate it when House shows up at his door.

Maybe there are people like me out there that are sick to death of House/Wilson. I've stopped watching House because there's way too much focus on Wilson and I hate Wilson with a burning passion. He's flipping annoying and I have no idea as to why House invests so much time in him. :confused: I hate stupid fangirls that convince the show writers to make this superficial middle school shipping crap a reality.

Hugh Laurie says it because Wilson is the only main character that House is on equal standing with. House doesn't work for Wilson, Wilson doesn't work for House. He's also one of the few people who can make House laugh.

House = Holmes
Wilson = Watson

I've never watched it and Jeanette is hot for him. There is one unknown point and one you would have seen if you read a few posts. But lets forget all that let me just ask you this Mr. answer guy. Where in that quote doe it ask if you're not watching it?

Seriously though, the show airs all the time. Just saying, to people who watch the USA Network, reruns air two, three times a night. More often than that on weekends. A marathon is not that big of a deal. :\
