I liked xavier for a while, but then it just kept getting dumber and dumber. As for Superjail, it's definitely not funny enough to be a comedy.

Were either of these shows developed by the Wonder Showzen team? Because I think I saw Xavier and he talked like a voice actor from WS...on top of that, I think I remember seeing the PFFR logo after Xavier went off.

I was watching SuperJail and the sort of hyperviolence and incredibly over-the-top sequences that were on Wonder Showzen are on here too, and I can't help but notice the similarities in the animation.

I ask because I loved Wonder Showzen, so I feel obligated to like anything else these guys make.

yeah xavier is a pffr deal, and it kind of makes me sad :( although the animated bits always were the weakest part of wonder showzen for me

oh and i checked and yeah superjail is done by the animation guys who did most of the wonder showzen animation :(

Thanks to Burntoshreds posting of Barfight, I now know why I don't like Superjail. I get the bad feeling that he is a one trick pony and every episode will be the same theme over and over with a few random plotlines to make it seem like he is doing something new.

Superjail is better than most of the bullshit they've been putting on Adult Swim for the last few years. I can only watch Mission Hill and The Oblongs so many times. Moral Orel was good as well, it's sad it is being cancelled. :(




PS: They originally picked Korgoth up for a series, why did they not go through with it?

Xavier was amazing for the fact that I've never seen so many jokes crammed into any other show. There was some great wordplay in every episode too. I definately think it got more surreal as it went on, but I wouldn't say dumber.

I hated the animated parts of Wonder Showzen too, but I adore Xavier. Clarence's Special Report is still far better than anything else those guys have done though.

Wonder Showzen....now that was good times....As well as Mystery Science Theater 3000.

However, this is about Super Jail.....I have to say all episodes leading up to last weeks one were fantastic...however "Don't Be a Negaton" I didn't find all that funny...as much as it was trippy. (Which was really the main part of the episode they were aiming to impress so meh.)
