I don't flippin believe this. This movie has made it to the top of box office earnings for the second weekend in a row.

Armegeddon is officially here.

Never heard of that movie, so I checked the trailer.

With the economy the way it is, dogs are the only demographic that can afford to go to the movies.

They're making a Dragonball live action flick too. It's kinda sad knowing movies like these are even thought of.

People been claiming that one for years. It's been canceled and un-canceled so much we might as well lose count.

Is anything else out in theaters actually worth watching? Seems like the theaters burned out after the Dark Knight.

The dragonball movie has a trailer already. I'd be suprised that it sucked but...there's simply no way in hell it wasn't going to.

Body of Lies could be good.

I saw the Dragonball trailer. It looked a bit silly, but consider that the cartoon itself was a bit silly.

Seems like good stuff's coming out next year. Of course if WB hadn't crumbled, we'd have had Half-Blood Prince to look forward to this November. >:

It's going to be a while before my hatred for Dubya simmers to the point of me being able to watch a movie about him.

From what few trailers I've seen, he looks kinda human instead of the evil bastard that he is.

Yeah, the review I read said that he's shown as being more sympathtic, with his parents prefering Jeb to him.

I don't see why people made such a huge deal out of this movie. It's no different from the dozen or so stupid kiddie comedies that Disney did back in the 1990s. I doubt anyone remembers The Big Green, Rocketman or George of the Jungle.

Yeah, those sucked ass too.

George of the Jungle had Brandon Fraser. Then again, so did Encino Man.

Those movies were okay.

Go figure, Brendan Fraser's at his best when playing some sort of mongoloid.

I just remembered something! Quantum of Solace...and for a second there I thought all I had to look forward to in November is the Punisher movie.

Yeah, sorry, but George of the Jungle was fucking awesome, and really one of the boldest films Disney ever made. Sure, if they made something like that now, when everybody is sick of Fourth-Wall jokes and live-action adaptions of animated movies, it probably would get hated on, but at the time, it felt fresh and was one of the funniest movies I'd ever seen.

Sure, it was kiddy on the surface, but there's enough to laugh at even for adults, as well as jokes only they are able to even get. For example, the very intro of the film, which starts with a generic narrative "Deep in the heart of Africa," and shows a map of Africa with the middle labeled "heart," and other bits of it labeled things like "pancreas" and "kidneys." There are many more examples.

I just thought I'd ask, is Beverly Hills Chihuahua a similar situation to Snow Dogs, where the bit with the dogs singing and dancing is just a dream sequence uncharacteristic of the whole movie? I don't really want to see it even if it's not, but SD was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
