View Full Version : I Voted :O

First time I've ever voted actually. Lines weren't too horrible, they wrapped around the block, sure, but they moved quickly enough even though the polling place in our neighborhood was really small. Took just a little over an hour to be done with everything. There were no hanging chads at our place either, your ballots just got marked with lil' bingo-style ink blotches. I'm now proudly wearing an "I Voted" sticker on my balls. The left one to be more precise, cuz I voted for Obama.

So who else be voting today?

:aok

I voted last week the day before the early polls closed (Obama), which pisses me off now because everybody who votes today gets free coffee from Starbucks and donuts from Krispy Kreme.

Voted for the first time myself this morning (Obama). Now I'm listening to political news updates on CNN on a television right next to the public campus computers. :\

I didn't vote, I'm registered half an hour away from my house and past work. I'm hoping for 4 years of "Shake what Obama gave you."

I drove to work and there were half as many cars on the freeway. Early voting certainly seems to benefit those who don't.

Had to register at my parents precinct as my drivers license address is over 3 years old. Used my brain and voted McCain!

Also voted to make sure that Al Franken doesn't get near the US Senate.

Damnit Kitsa, you're secret ballot is screwing up the essential "I-Mockery" exit poll.

The really weird thing is when I first saw Obama in Chicago politics years and years and years ago, I had a premonition that he would run for president someday and win. So this whole thing is like a massively weird deja-vu thing for me.

Glad I didn't disappoint. Sorry you can't enjoy the fun and games down here. Maybe you can go vote for a Prime Minister or something.

As for Obama...like the guy, don't like his policies.

We just did vote for a Prime Minister, and in fact we did have a lot of fun and games!
Actually it was a pretty pointless election, with the lowest turnout ever. The hated Liberals had one of their worst defeats ever though, which was nice.

I didn't vote because my vote doesn't matter. I didn't go to electoral college.
