I'd say the book was better.

Much, MUCH better.

Mad TV sucked after Alex Borstein, Will Sasso, and Nicole Sullivan left anyway. It was still funnier than Saturday Night Live though. I don't how SNL's still on the air.

I'd say the book was better.

What.

MAD magazine is what he is referring to. And yes it was MUCH better than the show, even when they did have Alex.

It's about fucking time. I was wondering how much further they'd let that show slide.

Saturday Night Live has never, ever, EVER been funny, to any degree, at all, and I have no idea where the general misconception that it was came from.

MadTV was ok.

Dude, if you really believe that then you haven't watched enough SNL.

I saw a Madtv sketch the other day that I thought was pretty funny, a VCR repairman keeps getting work calls from people asking him to do things that aren't related to his job. I thought the show might of changed color but everything else featured was bad and it wasn't just plan unfunny bad, there's something strangely repugnant about Madtv.

The new Mad TV episodes are fucking painful. Instead of Will Sasso they have some asian transvestite saying "oh oh hot dog!". I´m glad that shit is over.

Bobby Lee is great.

I remember laughing at some of Bobby Lee's standup. Something about his parents bringing home underaged Asian girls for him to marry and eating lava for dinner.

Deborah Wilson was another one of the better Mad TV alumni. That one sketch where she plays Diana Ross and bites off that dude's nipple? That was pretty funny.

95% of the time, madtv makes me literally want to smash my head in with a brick

the other 5% is funny.

I think you're talking about Dat Phan, either that or both of them talk about the same stuff.

there's something strangely repugnant about Madtv.

This.

I can only recall a few select MadTV sketches that didn't make me cringe. Like, maybe 10 or 11. And while there are a good number of SNL skits that prompt the /facepalm, there are far and above a lot more memorable and hilarious moments in SNL history.

I don't think the comparison is even fair. We all know all the better writters will write for SNL over Mad anytime.

I do like the Darlene McBride skits though.
