Dear I-Mockery,

For the next 3 months I will be fixing up our home and preparing it for sale. We made a sudden decision last night to sell our first home and move closer into the city.
I'm forgoing all work and won't have much time for internet shenanigans until I'm done fixing up the house and it's ready for sale.
I love (almost) all of you and will miss you.
Love,
CIG

PS-I start remodeling and construction tomorrow so I at least have today to bask in your unholy gloriousness.

Move to yorkshire, CiG!

Dixie

Oddly enough we have seriously discussed moving overseas many times and we do have friends in your area.
But we can't do that til our parents pass away. After that we'll have no reason whatsoever to stay in the states!
That'll happen one day, just not anytime in the immediate future hopefully.

I just can't stand being out in the NC wilderness anymore. All the deer, the late night gas station attendants, the bible mutants that knock on my door when I'm trying to sleep. We currently live in a neighborhood that's pretty much for people with kids, and we will NOT be joining that group ever. Even the gay couple in the neighborhood has a kid.
It'd be different if Jim didn't have an hour and a half commute everyday and I had friends nearby, other than my cats.
Luckily, even with the bad economy, our property value has done nothing but rise and we live in a very sought-after area. Hopefully some missionary/seminary family moves in.

I'm really not looking forward to all the spackling, sanding, and painting I have to do.
:(
I HAD to put posters all over the goddamn house.

All I can think of right now is the part in shitty animal movies when the kid is bawling at the animal to go into the wilderness where it'll be safe before the evil pet store workers arrive

GO! GO ON! GO, YOU STUPID KOALA BWAAAAAA HA HA HAUUUGH AW HA AW I SAID GO! WAAAAAAAAURGHAHAHAHAAAAAW I HATE YOU! GO AWAY! GO! RUN!

A bunch of beer and music always helps redecorating seem not as tedious.

I'm gonna get a stockpile of pot and have at it, man.

I just made a list of everything I have to do to get this place ready. It's almost overwhelming but I think alot of it I could do in about a week. It's the bigger stuff like painting the place inside and out and putting new carpet down that get me. Well, that and all the garden work I have to do.
We are definitely hiring someone for some of this stuff.

Ick, winter gardening. Everythings dead and damp.

Dixie

Perfect time to wipe it all out and get the soil ready for something besides dandelions.

Do you have to move the bodies or did you bury them deep enough?

Jan 12th, 2009, 03:44 PM
we almost bought a bag of meth last time we had to move :(

Tadao
Jan 12th, 2009, 04:03 PM
I wouldn't get anything done on meth. I would focus on cleaning the grout for 3 days. Beer always helped me get things done though. I never get drunk on beer and get the urge to do something productive.

It's right across the street from one of my friends!

Moving isn't so bad, especially since we have a good handful of friends who totally owe us moving help.
At least we're not moving 6 hours away this time!

Why can't I just trade houses with this one person?
I feel like the fat lady in Napoleon Dynamite.
"I WANT THAT!"

Moving house is the most hasslesome activity ever. I almost died last time I moved trying to carry a fucking huge armchair up 3 flights of stairs.

I'm going to get her and her boyfriend to sabotage any potential buyers.
A mountain of beer cans in her front yard are being compiled just for this purpose and band practice in the middle of the day and at 10pm should do the trick.
Oooooh yeah.

Tadao
Jan 12th, 2009, 05:58 PM
Don't forget the toilet, I passed on a nice house because the neighbors had a toilet sitting on the side of the house that looks like it's been there for a long time.

Dixie
Jan 12th, 2009, 06:00 PM
That's a great idea.
I will converse with the henhouse and we shall contemplate such things!

Aaarg
Jan 12th, 2009, 06:39 PM
Aw, but who's going to be nice to me here if you're gone?

Dixie
Jan 12th, 2009, 07:13 PM
Awwww.
You guys is sweet. I'm sure someone will be nice to you!
I'll probably keep my AIM on most of the time so that'd be the best way to get ahold of me in emergency. Like if OAO or Clement comes back.
But I think with a little help my absence may be shortened to a month. I'm feeling really optimistic about this.
My buddy Laura and I have the ultimate plan involving being totally blazed, a chainsaw, and bleach. The outside work is gonna be fun!
:)

Dixie
Jan 12th, 2009, 07:15 PM
Oh while I'm thinking of it, could I possibly get one of the mod gods to send me my password?
I forgot what it is and I need to change it to something I'll remember so when I come back I'm not locked out.

Good luck with the house hunting, CiG.

Just don't use live ammo.

Dixie

I always carry a full bladder, my friend.

And I'll make sure to be wearing super cool sunglasses when I wield my mighty chainsaw!

Tomorrow I start packing!

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Good luck with all that work. And to think that moving to a new house was one of my dreams when I was a little kid...

I WANT TO SEE PICTURES OF YOUR FRIEND LAURA. :(

Jan 12th, 2009, 11:49 PM
IS THAT THE HOT YOUNG BLONDE? IF SO, YEAH.

Dixie
Jan 14th, 2009, 11:50 AM
You guys wouldn't like Laura.
Trust me on that.
She's over 40, she's a punk/metal radio host, and people keep mistaking her for a lesbian.

PACKING SUCKS!
Waiting for the plumber to show up currently.

Jan 14th, 2009, 02:32 PM
Hope the move goes well. We'll still be here in a few months when you get back...

OR WILL WE? :eek

Jan 14th, 2009, 03:00 PM
Godammit CiG, if you don't get us a picture of the butchmilf punk lady toasted and wielding a chainsaw I swear to your pagan metal gods that I'll turn churlish and more irritating than usual

You can tell Johnny "CARRY THOSE BOXES OR YOU'RE OUT OF THE BAND!"
I would never threaten Johnny like that.
I motivate him with threats of headbutting.

Nothing but packing.
UGHHHH
The plumber is coming back Monday.
