I was thinking about the song "Bust a Move" by Young MC. Here's part of one of the verses:
Your best friend Harry has a brother Larry
In five days from now he's gonna marry
He's hoping you can make it there if you can
'Cause in the ceremony you'll be the best man
OK first of all, you'd expect to be the best man at Harry's wedding because you're his best friend. But we're talking about your best friend's BROTHER. Doesn't Larry have any friends of his own? Is he a complete loser or something? More importantly, why is he asking you to be his best man only five days before the wedding? Shouldn't that sort of thing be planned a little further in advance? I mean, you have to rent a tux, prepare a speech for the reception...there's a lot to do in those five days!
One has to wonder about Larry's wife-to-be. Why would a self-respecting woman marry a guy who so clearly doesn't have his shit together? These sound like two desperate people who have no business marrying anybody, let alone each other. I see this union ending in a murder-suicide.
