IGN.com is one of those websites that present their list one page at a time, which is annoying, so I copied this list from Toonzone. There's a lot to disagree with in this list. Such as ranking Family Guy over Futurama, and listing Simpsons as #1? OH, HOW ORIGINAL.>:

Jan 24th, 2009, 09:46 PM
I knew the fucking Simpsons would be #1 don't even get me started NNNNGGGGHHHHH

ZeldaQueen
Jan 24th, 2009, 10:39 PM
Yeah, that bothered me about the anime. Don't really consider them the same as cartoons.
I'd have put TMNT as #1, but that's just me. >:

i'd like to know how these were rated though: animation quality or writing?

Jan 25th, 2009, 12:04 AM
Where the fuck was Swat Kats?
Phoenix Gamma
Jan 25th, 2009, 08:08 AM
Batman should be #1. Fantastic art direction, slick animation, and the story was great.
But christ, a lot of those are forgettable or just plain dull. Robot Chicken? Sure, maybe if you don't have the attention span to make it through an actual joke.
EDIT: Oh wait, it's IGN? Haha, nevermind. No hard feelings. I already know they're a bunch of idiots :D

Jan 25th, 2009, 05:29 PM
Yeah, I've been a bit sour to them after that "Legend of Zelda trailer" April Fool's Day joke. >:

Jan 26th, 2009, 11:32 AM
I see Afro Samurai listed on there. What a bunch of hipster tools. I do agree with roughly half of those inductions, tohugh.
I imagine they listed anime because coming up with 100 american cartoons gets ridiculous when you have to list stuff like Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Battletech, Conan The Adventurer, and so on...

Jan 26th, 2009, 03:36 PM
I was surprised to see how high The Maxx listed. :)
Duckman should have been closer to the #1 spot.
I'm going to find my "The Head" series on VHS and watch it later.

SO GLAD The Critic and Futurama got so high.
Did anyone not expect The Simpsons at #1?
Never watched/read The Maxx, but the synopsis they gave interested me and I've downloaded all of the episodes.
There were a bunch of surprises, like Muppet Babies at 31 and Ren & Stimpy being called the best of the Nicktoons, even higher than Spongebob. And Beavis and Butthead at 5. Jeez.
Zomboid
Jan 26th, 2009, 09:46 PM
Beavis and Butt-Head was extremely popular. Ren & Stimpy being ahead of Spongebob is kinda surprising. Nicktoons used to have some good stuff :(

Jan 26th, 2009, 11:15 PM
i've recently found out there is ren and stimpy after hours or something with the main premise being ran and stimpy being a gay couple is it still running or what

Feb 5th, 2009, 07:37 PM
I have to ask this as a serious question what jokes were funny the ones about Hollywood, Jay being fat people in the midwest are morons movies are terrible other critics oooooh it's so cutting edge if it was 1987 and not the fact that it was set during the mid nineties the only laughs the Critic got were from The Simpsons when he guest starred on it like Bart said how lame another cartoon crossover
Tadao
Feb 5th, 2009, 07:43 PM
Your opinion is shit.
Schimid
Feb 5th, 2009, 09:09 PM
Guys I just came onto this website to give my opinions and listen to other peoples opinions so I could enrich my life experience by hearing opinions from all people because we all have opinions that are all right and I did not come here to be attacked by you immature jerks you're all just nerds anyway so say that to my face not online faggot and see what happens
executioneer
Feb 5th, 2009, 09:13 PM
yeah and a dude who pilots a giant robot suit around is really "cutting edge", you contradictory contradick
toolz88
Feb 6th, 2009, 08:06 AM
Well it's nice to see that you have such a great come back (your opinion is shit) and (contradick) that's about the equivalant of saying shut up when you don't have anything snappy to say for a retort when you just got served yeah I forgot that Voltron and Robotech were people who piloted giant robot suits so that's basically what your saying the only thing that you have a problem with is that I don't like The Critic and you hate Big O other than that you do not have anything else against me nice talking to you people
executioneer
Feb 6th, 2009, 08:48 AM
