I remember going to see the Cramps when I was 18 and they were old then.
I thought they were already dead.

I saw this topic and thought "oh man don't be about Lux Interior, be some faggy Superman reference."

But it's from the guy who used to have cheesy Boys Next Door lyrics as his signature, so I figured it had to be.

Well Nick Cave's not really the type of musician you just hear casually on the radio or whatever.

Tadao

I had better download his music and force myself to know everything about him!

Tadao

Since you are so well versed on Nick Cage, please explain what is has to do with Lex Luther?

Aaarg

I don't download music.

I was trying to imply that you're familiar with decent music on account of you quoting Nick Cave and decent music includes the Cramps. Apparently you still suck though.

AND HERE I THOUGHT YOU WERE HALFWAY COOL.

Hahaha, I have tons of friends that try to get me into Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Something about it just doesn't interest me. He rights good lyrics and I do like the song Shivers, but that's about it. It's probably a reaction to too many people trying to force him on me.

I've always meant to see a Halloween ramps show but never got around to it.

Yeah, Nick Cave can be pretty hit-or-miss and he can be pretty hard to get into.

He's very good at writing dark lyrics, though. I like when he writes story-songs. This is why "Murder Ballads" is my favorite Bad Seeds album. The album is nine songs about murder and death, and then a Bob Dylan cover.

He's no Tom Waits, but I like his stuff pretty well.

I've had plenty of whiskey and I have to be at work in four hours. I will get some sleep. I love you, good-night.

I like that song Nick Cave did with Kylie Minogue.

That's my least favorite song off that album, and I've never been able to understand why it gets so much attention.

The chorus is "they call me the Wild Rose though my name is Eliza Day, why they call me it I do not know for my name is Eliza Day" aaauuuuggghhh.

Seriously, check out "Song of Joy" or "O'Malley's Bar" or "Stagger Lee" or "The Curse of Millhaven" from that album, much better. Or if you're just into the duet thing, this one:

Life is officially lifeless now. RIP to THE best front man to ever existed.

P.S. Johnny Rotten is playing game shows in England and Lux played with The Cramps until the day he died.
