Playing old PC games on a new machine

I found an old copy of planescape torment and thought what the hell, but I cant get it to install. Any ideas?

It's not 16-Bit, so that's not the problem. My buddy has it running, I'll ask him.

The auto run will come up but when you hit install nothing happens. Changing the compatibility doesnt do anything. I just cant get it to do anything.

Never mind. It installed in safe mode just fine. Thanks though.
