I'm not going to go into whether or not she should have had them. I'm filtering my emotions for sour grapes, so to speak.
No, what I want to do is show you her picture.
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn199/kitsa_for_imockery/angelina_nadya.jpg
I just briefly watched her talking this morning and it struck me how much like Angelina Jolie she looked. Lips a tad plumper maybe, and skin a tad darker, but she could have been a professional impersonator. When I looked for a photo, apparently I wasn't the only one to think so because this one was all ready-made.
Anyway, either way, she's beautiful. But single, single, single, as all of the reports are so eager to drive into our heads.
Which leads me to wonder what the headcase status is if someone so beautiful is single single single like this?

yea can you imagine what her vagina would be like after 8 children in one pregnancy? She might as well hire a midget to crawl inside and live there.
I'm kind of surprised they would let somebody who has a psychosis that makes them want to have children have children ;\ I know TECHNICALLY the right to have babies is one of the most sanctified things or whatever but still ;\ Makes you wonder how sanctified it really is ;\

I think I read that whatever Highly Acronymmed Medical Authority is in charge of her fertility specialist has the matter under review.
I think they implanted 6 eggs, using the simplistic thinking "well, the worst we can do is 6 embryos", and one split into twins. Whoops, forgot they could do that.
With that in mind, look on the bright side...it could have been even worse.
6 embryos x identical twins = 12
6 embryos x triplets where at least 2 are identical twins= 18
Quadruplets, quintuplets, and so on. Not that she has that much room in there. But you know what I mean.
ramifications, man.

I just can't understand how the doctor was convinced to put seven embryos in her at once. Look at her stomach! Even if there hadn't been the twins, it still wouldn't have been that much smaller. Seriously, having your stomach stretched to that size can not be safe at all.
And wow. I admire Jolie for her charities and adopting kids from third world nations and all, but I wouldn't go and change my face and hair to look like her! I'm wondering if the woman got the multiple embroys implanted because she wanted a big family like Jolie also. Did her obsession with Angelina start before or after the pregnancy?

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is said to be 'creeped out' by octuplets' mother Nadya Suleman after she received several admiring letters from her.
Sources close to the Tomb Raider star said the 33-year-old Suleman had written to Jolie praising her support of children.
She is said to be irritated by Suleman - and particularly by rumours claiming the single mother had facial surgery to make her look more like her.

$605,000?!? Houses here go for $100,000 or thereabouts, and that's midlevel ranch stuff. I don't know how people get by at all out there.
The biggest house I ever lived in had 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, a pond and a large parcel of woodland. I think when it sold it was around $275,000, and that was standard for the area.

Well, no need to worry about Octo Mom. Gloria Allred and a nonprofit group will provide her with a house and around the clock child care, all paid for through donations. So remember, kids: If you don't work, procreate irresponsibly, and rely on others to provide for you, everything will work out fine and you'll gain a good measure of celebrity or maybe a tv show in the process.

People on food stamps who waste their money on drugs don't live in million dollar homes free of charge. They don't have comfortable lifestyles offered to them. They don't have people blowing their ass. This bitch is way better off than any person on food stamps will ever be. People on food stamps don't cost american tax payers several million dollars in medical bills to deliver their children, either.
Whatever though. If all parents are insane in the same way, why draw a line of distinction between those who are capable of raising children and those who are incapable and end up having their children taken away?
As for abuse, didn't they all live in like a three bedroom house with horrible conditions? (yes) She might not BEAT them but there are other forms of abuse. Like neglect. How is she really gonna raise that many kids, alone, without neglecting them? By relying on ot her people's help. Interestingly, almost all of her children have developmental problems; and these OCTUPLETS are going to have them in particular. besides the fact that even having twins can sometimes fuck up their development, these children had to be born prematurely. The fact that she chose to have eight children to coddle her fucking insanity is a sign of abuse in itself. Having that many children at once makes those children destined to have medical problem after medical problem, and I'm sure she was told that, but she chose to ignore it CUZ SHE WANNSAAA have chillN and those were her last eggs. A purely selfish motive that will cost those children.
That's another difference between her and other people. Other people (although some do I'm sure) don't have children expecting them to be cared for/raised by other people. Even when it comes to food stamps, there's still a lot of responsibility (cooking, cleaning, teaching etc) that they have to shoulder. I called child services on a tenant of mine. She kept the kids locked in a room via a paddlock while she did drugs. 18 kids is a metric shit ton, but there isn't a backlash against this because the parents are somewhat well off and provide their kids a clean and loving home. The dad is also a real estate agent and owns a bunch of property.
As for the Octo Mom, fuck that bitch. Spitting out babies like a cocker spaniel so she can be a tv child therapist or some shit.

It's horrid, there's the whole "Oh, we can't take a child from their parents!" mentality. All kinds of messed up stuff happen to kids. Just look at Elizabeth Fritzl, who's father locked her in an underground room, raped her, and took away three of the seven children she had from this to raise as his own.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritzl_case
Of course, she did escape and her dad did get arrested. You have to wonder how such ideas occur to people and how people think it's a good idea to go through with said ideas...

But hey, maybe they'll turn out to have some weird mind connection. I had fraternal twins in my homeroom in high school and they wrote in the school yearbook that one would start to tell about a dream they'd have and find out the other had the same dream.
And hey, if each of those kids grows up learning how to play an instrument, they make money as a one family band. Like the Jackson Five, only without the whole plastic surgery craziness.

Feb 22nd, 2009, 10:34 PM
Yes, DHS in many large cities does a piss poor job of protecting children that need protection. In Philly a special needs child (CP and mild MR) was left with her mother even though the estranged father had alerted authorities that he feared abuse and/or neglect. DHS did not have the resources to oversee more than about 20% of their cases, so this particular case was subcontracted to a somewhat disreputable agency. Records were falsified, visits that never happened were recorded as being satisfactory. The upshot was that the girl died of malnutrition and sepsis (bedsores, from being left in one position for days at a time) and Mom was brouht up on charges. DHS took it on the chin, with several caseworkers being fired - the major FU to the city was that Mom (!) and Dad filed suit against DHS and the city stating they should have taken the child.
This occurred over a year ago, and the ramifications are still being felt throughout the system. Adoptions are on the rise, and parents whose children are in the system are being held to a higher standard of fitness. Foster parents are being given more rights at an earlier time, and the children are FINALLY being given the right to grow up without fear of abuse or neglect - there is a time limit (guideline) that is being adhered to of roughly 15-22 months in the system where a decision must be made as to a permanancy plan for a child who is a ward of the state.
It's sad that children must die in such circumstances for any substantive changes to occur.
BTW, Kitsa is right, this thread is incredibly depressing.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/25/octos-new-option-porn-or-diapers/
here is a serious effort underway to block OctoMom from taking a million dollar offer to do porn -- except the opposition is coming from a rival XXX company!
Fearing that Nadya Suleman "will become the subject of endless ridicule and scorn," the president of Pink Visual has offered Octo a "full year's worth of diapers" if she keeps her baby maker where it belongs ... fully covered and far away from any type of recording device.
In a letter (http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_documents/0225_octomom.swf) sent to Octo, morally righteous Pink Visual warns, "There's a great deal of stigma attached to being a porn star" and that Octo needs to think "in the best interest of your children." For once.
So what's it gonna be? Do porn ... and get a million bucks, health insurance and benefits -- or keep it covered ... so you can keep your kids clean? Decisions, decisions.

Okay, this woman is already getting enough controversy what with the whole plastic surgery rumors and bit about her having some infatuation with Angelina Jolie and her being impregnated with eight kids at once despite the fact that she has no means to care for so many children. Now add to that her being a porn star.
I'm feeling sorry for the kids if that happened. Imagine how much they'd get picked on as they grew up. They'd have to deal with the fact that they were born in a media frenzy with sperm from lord-knows-who and then they'd have to deal with the fact that their mother is now a porn star.

Octomom's Clan to Receive Free 24-Hour Care, Gifts
The California mother of octuplets has received a plentitude of gifts and a small army of volunteers to help prepare for her babies' homecoming.
The shower of gifts for Nadya Suleman and other support was detailed during Suleman's appearance on an episode of the "Dr. Phil" show that aired Wednesday.
On the show, a non-profit organization called Angels in Waiting promised Suleman 24-hour care for her 14 children — the octuplets as well as her six older children.
In a press release from the "Dr. Phil" show, the group estimates caring for the octuplets will cost approximately $135,000 per month, and it is asking for donations from the public.

Linda West-Conforti, co-founder of Angels in Waiting, says the children will need 12 providers a day.
"Caring for preemies is considerably more involved than caring for a newborn healthy baby," West-Conforti said on "Dr. Phil."
She added that the providers will be taught how to duplicate Suleman's techniques of mothering to create an environment conducive for them to bond with their mother — including burping, feeding and rocking them in the same way.
Click here to see new photos and video of octuplets on DrPhil.com (http://www.drphil.com/slideshows/slideshow/5039/?id=5039&showID=1244).
Suleman told host Dr. Phil McGraw that she's "excited and relieved" over the help she's being offered.
"It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” Suleman said. "It’s just amazing because it’s 100 percent for my children, and it just makes me feel like everything is falling into place."
In addition to full-time care, Shalena Smith from Ga Ga Designs offered to create a brand new nursery for the octuplets.

Smith told Suleman on the show that her goal is to "bless these babies' lives."
"We got a great team together ... to make the environment safe and furnish it so they have cribs to come home to,” Smith said.
Suleman also will receive new hardwood floors for her new home, rocking chairs, changing tables, armoires, dressers and bunk beds for the older children from various other companies.
The children will be moving into a four-bedroom, three-bath home that was listed for sale at $564,900.
Suleman said she is paying for the house with money from "opportunities" she has selected, but she did not elaborate on what they were.
TMZ reports (http://www.tmz.com/2009/03/10/octobirth-weve-seen-the-birth-tape/) that it has seen an edited birthing video that it says is up for sale.
Suleman seemed to avoid the question of the sale of the tape on "Dr. Phil." When McGraw asked if the videotape of the births is up for grabs, Suleman said she was "not certain."
The octuplets were born on Jan. 26, nine weeks premature. They are the world's longest-surviving set of octuplets.
Suleman said in a video posted (http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/03/octomom-shows-us-her-new-home.php) on Radaronline.com that all but two were healthy enough to leave the hospital and that they would be released two at a time after hospital officials inspect the new home.

$135,000 a month? Is that the cost for just what the kids need, food and clothes and such? Or for all that plus paying people to help out and the cost of her home and bills and such? Just where is all this money going to come from? She doesnt even have a job. How the hell was she even able to pay for the fertility specialist? That shit aint cheap.
"It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders,”
HA! That woman NEEDS that weight on her shoulders. She needs to live by her actions and deal with them. What does this tell all the other mindless idiots that dont think about the consequences of their actions? Have an ass ton of kids and everything will be provided for you?

http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/03/24/octuplets.nurses.fired/index.html
OK, let's get something straight. As part of childcare training there is a clause that one must sign stating it is your legal responsibility to report anything suspicious regarding the health and welfare of a child. If it is deemed (after the fact) that children were neglected or abused, and there were signs and you as an individual ignored those signs, YOU GO TO JAIL! No exceptions. No excuses.
Nadya, you dumb fuck, it doesn't matter if you pay them or not, if you're criminally neglecting your children, a childcare professional will report you to DHS.
Oh, BTW, the bitch says that now she will be paying ... excuse me we will be paying ... for in-home nursing care for her children.
EDIT - She also claims that "OctoDad" (or as I like to refer to him, "OctoDonor") is a foreign-born platonic friend who was "angry" with her for this whole mess. (At least he sounds sane.) She says in the article that she will never ever reveal his name; apparently when she stated this during the interview one of her children asked who their daddy was, and she ignored the child. Yes. This won't cause any undue distress in the family unit. :explode

To be super-realistic, she probably had no idea she was going to carry all 8 to viability. She might have refused the "reduction", but her doctors probably told her one or more of the babies would not survive.
As soon as she knew they were going to, though, she should have made the responsible decision (the decision many, many, MANY people before her have agonized over and eventually made), to give the children up for adoption. If she had done that, childless families would be thrilled....I assure you, THRILLED....to provide for those babies' every need.
She would go down in history as the remarkable lady who birthed octuplets and then did something wonderful and responsible.
Instead, it just all went to shit.

I really hope they see her "firing" of the free help as negligence of her children. I mean come on... There is NO WAY she can take care of those children herself or with the little help she gets from mom and dad. They just need to take the children instead of waiting for her to fuck up.
The news report I read about it said something about how she thought they werent helping her as much as they said they would because they werent getting donations from the public. Perhaps that should tell her something.
