Help me find the game with this big metal fish enemy.

I want to say it was an old Mega Man or Super Mario game, but I could be wrong. Anyway, there was an old game that had this big metal fish (looked like it was made of iron) that jumped out of the water while chomping its teeth) and I can't seem to remember what game it was in, nor can I find a picture of said finish.

Can any of you remember it?

He was actually beneficial too. If he hits you you'll turn invincible for a few seconds and can walk on the spikes making that part of the level a lot easier. Not that you needed the info or anything....but Bubble Man stage music was awesome so I had to add my change.

I always thought Bubbleman looked really nerdy. Also, the waterfall at the beginning of the stage hurt my eyes as a kid.
