I'm looking forward to it. Did they set a release date yet?

Pitt seems like a bad choice for the role from the trailer I saw. Still, I remain hopeful. If nothing else, it sounds like it's gonna be pretty friggin' gory.

Will this be like a war film, or a Quentin Tarantino film?

I think its going to be a cheap satisfaction film. Like, OH LOOK AT NAZIS GET KILZD. EVERYBODY HATES NOZASIS

but thats just what it struck me as.

now that i think about it though that's basically what death proof was. Lots of talk and then the satisfaction of seeing that asshole die like a pussy ;\

Deathproof is overrated, I hope this one does better.

Although the plot sounds like something I pulled out during elementary school

Death proof is over-rated? Pretty much everyone I know of who watched it said it was a huge disappointment ;\

I can't wait for it. As a dirt-poor college student, this is definitely first on my list of movies to see.

I enjoyed Death Proof. It's great as long as you understand start-to-finish that it's an exploitation homage. Some parts dragged, though :/

I liked Death proof, but the beginning seemed like an opportunity to get up and take a piss after Planet terror.

Surprised that I didn't see any actors that I really liked in that trailer. Tarentino is usually pretty good at picking them.

Might be a good film but I'm afraid it'll be annoying for WW2 nerds. It's like I don't know anything about hitmen or organised crime so I can watch Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs and just accept what happens in them. With a war film I think I'll find it much more difficult to accept the plot if it's obviously stupid/wrong.

You know what Quentin Tarantino's really good at?

Soundtracks.

I want to see a Quentin Tarantino remake of Battle Royale.

Exactly. Anybody who's watched those kinds of films from the 70s would easily see just how dead on this film really was. I loved it.

The only mistake they made with it was showing it AFTER Planet Terror. It's a much slower movie, so (for some audiences) it's hard to go from something as extreme as Planet Terror to something more subdued and character focused like Death Proof. So yeah, they definitely should've shown them in reverse order when the two films were still in theaters.

One part of Planet terror has a guy on the radio mention the death of one of the Death proof characters, so when that character came on in Death proof I knew that she was going to die, as soon as her name was mentioned. Planet terror has Death proof spoilers and should have been shown second.
