It's hard to tell if this is going to be epic or terrible.

I'm mostly worried about the overhyping that's sure to come.

Hype shouldn't effect how you feel about something. If it's good than it's good. Hype only effects people who like something because other people like it. Or something like that.

It shouldn't, but it does. When things start getting hyped up, you start to expect it to live up to everyone's expectations, which they never really do. Same thing happened for me with Watchmen; after all the hype, I expected an absolutely epic movie, and thought it sucked pretty bad.

I've seen the short film that it's based on. I thought that was pretty good but I have no idea how they could turn it into a feature length piece.

A lot of the stuff in the trailer indicate that stop motion would probably make it look like crap. I mean, have you ever tried to make a feature-length movie, in stop motion, full of complicated monster,s while making them do crazy sword fights and aerial battles?
That'd be a LOT of fishing line.
