This series (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Transformers_Animated_%28franchise%29) just ended last Saturday. I, for one, liked it. What do you guys think?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

I just got into it and have been viewing it on Youtube

I still think it doesn't make sense why a popular cartoon backed by the most powerful toy company in the US is being cancelled after two years, with a major-motion picture based on the franchise..

Cartoon Network sucks

The season three finale actually tied the series up quite nicely. There were a few unanswered questions here and there, though, which kinda pisses me off.

The finale was great, although it felt rushed. However seeing as the writers were fired right after writing the episodes, I think it was a quick wrap up. There is a possibility that it may return in 2010. News of that will likely come this weekend.

Probably because they havent had a really good cartoon in years, the movie sucked balls and their toys have been shit since 1989. >:

I disagree there, I love the toys.

It's ok to love crap, but don't be surprised when a company stops making crap because they are losing money.

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 02:48 PM
I would be surprised considering all the money they've been making for 25 years now.

To be truthful, I'd be a little relieved if it did slow down. There's been a larger amount of stuff produced than I can afford to keep up with. :)

I would get home sometimes and this would be on when I would fall asleep. I liked the fact in season 1 how Starscream was B.A. and awesome all the time.

yeah dude, this weekend is Botcon (official Tf fan convention, which I cant afford to go to this year) and the bulk of TF product for the year will be revealed. So news is trickling out about everything. Animated may be brought back in 2010 (which is the current rumor), but any news of that will be let loose probably tomorrow. If it isn't renewed, then there will be some sort of new toon to take it's place. I just hope it's as fun.

So how many times are they going to rape TF before they realize its just necrophilia at this point?

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 03:32 PM
Tadao- yeah, stuff is getting really expensive, specially considering the Japanese market and collectors club stuff. Then last year the line had a price hike to make things worse. The hobby already was expensive enough.

Dimnos- Well, there is enough stuff still set in G1 (including new toys) to keep older fans happy. However there was a slightly hentai line in Japan where rape was implied. However for further comedy, a fan club exclusive combiner team (released each member over five years, and the last piece was just released) who's combined form was recently named, and I kid you not, Nexus Maximus. If you don't know, google the name. Apparently it was an accident, but dude...

I hope they put Unicron in the next season or show,

And maybe some more Robots In Disguise characters like Sky-Byte and Scourge/Nemesis Prime

And get rid of those shitty non-robot villains, or at least use ones from the comics and old cartoons. No more fat larper and mutant lolicon

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 04:08 PM
As of now they have stated no Unicron in Animated. But that could change. After the Unicron Trilogy, they pretty much used him up for awhile there. But yes, Sky-Byte would be awesome.

Durrsomething
May 29th, 2009, 04:10 PM
They should get Wayne Knight or John DiMaggio to voice him

Scourge/Nemesis Prime should be voiced by David Kaye in his Megatron voice

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 04:15 PM
I dunno man, his original va is probably still available. Scourge's va is dead, so yeah David Kaye would be good. Would probably be just a mustache twist evil version of his Prime voice though. John Dimaggio is voicing Sideswipe in the upcomming game (and maybe movie, no info) though.

Durrsomething
May 29th, 2009, 04:33 PM
Maybe, but speaking of Unicron and Sideways, they should get Maurice LaMarche to voice Unicron due to his Orson Welles impersonation, and maybe Rob Paulsen as Dead-End or Sideways for a Pinky and the Brain Reference

They should get Steven Jay Blum for Bludgeon, due to his involvement in anime, and maybe his shell and inner shell could reference characters he voiced.

He should also have maybe Nightbird as a servant, voiced by Wendee Lee, so they can reference anime and Cowboy Bebop with their appearance

Ron Perlman should voice the Fallen

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 04:39 PM
It looks like Tony Todd is going to voice the Fallen, which is just awesome.

Also Mike Patton as I believe Long Haul!

But in all due respect, just leave Nightbird out :P

So maybe a new cartoon in 2010, news will come this weekend.

Question for transformers fan: how many different transformer series and different timelines are there? which is your favorite

Durrsomething

Beast Wars

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 04:59 PM
As for series and fictional settings This is easier than typing it out. (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Continuity) If you wanna call it Crisis on infinite Cybertrons, you wouldn't be far off.

As for my favorite, yeah G1/Beast Wars

However if you want to use Japanese continuity... it's all one big happy (and confusing) family.

robo_rob
May 29th, 2009, 05:05 PM
Reference?

TFW2005 (http://www.tfw2005.com/), look in the back logs as Tony Todd was announced last week (I believe) as cast as a VA, with all signs pointing him to be the Fallen (or at least a bad guy). And Mike Patton was cast a month or so back as a Constructicon (evidence leads to Long Haul, but that's not so clear).

Much more pleasant, Frank Welker will voice Soundwave.

Y'know what would be also cool? Some crossovers with other Hasbro-owned toy franchises like Gobots, Battle Beasts, and maybe Zbots

Possibly, yeah. Though The Fallen may be too complex for a kiddies show, I'm surprised they worked him into the new movie.

Well Gobots and Battle Beasts are already part of Tf mythology and family tree. Zbots, haven't been yet. But at this rate, it could happen.

Hey, I have an idea for Bludgeon in the next series: How about SPOILER

He's actually a back-from-the-dead and insane Prowl enceased in a samurai-skeleton tank Transformer voiced by Steven Jay Blum, and when Prowl goes back to the good guy, the Bludgeon shell/Transformer becomes a separate entity and a new villain altogether, though that would be a complex toy to make, a samurai tank with a ninja motorcycle in it.....

robo_rob
May 31st, 2009, 10:11 PM
There is two Bludgeon toys coming for the movie line. one is a redeco of the Wreckage toy from the last movie. The other is a brand new toy that turns into a tank and has a samurai robot mode.

And I was also thinking of some crossovers with non-robot Hasbro franchises in the next cartoon, like one about the Decepticons teaming up with an aged Cobra Commander to create Cobra Decepticons, and the Autobots and some of the aged GI Joe members and relatives must stop them

Another one involving M.A.S.K. in that it's a Transformers-esque retelling of the origin where a small-time terrorist organization V.E.N.O.M. steals Cybertronian technology to create transforming vehicles, and the Autobots and the newly-formed M.A.S.K. must stop them using there own Cybertronian-powered transforming vehicles

robo_rob

Well, G.I.JOE crossovers with Transformers are nothing new (in fact Captain Lennox in the movie is from one of those stories). That and M.A.S.K has been officially dissolved into G.I.JOE now so...
