im stumped with this childrens show

I remember this show I used to watch when I was a kid where it might have been on nick jr or maybe pbs cant remember but its where the 3 main characters looked like cats like they were in the play cats. and one of the cat looking guys was a black man oh and this wasent an animated show hope thats enough to help you figure out what my show is and lets talk about other great nistalgic kids shows you remember from when you were a kid.

yeah, I sorta remember it. Ben Vereen (is that how you spell it?) is the black guy you mentioned. Taco Bell kids meals had a promotion with it, which is how I discovered it.

back then Taco Bell's kids meals were just regular meal deals with a price. That prize? A book with a red cellophane magnifying glass for finding clues (similar to the Transformers tech specs). At the time I had no clue what the hell Zoobillee Zoo was or why the hell I was looking for clues with some stupid furry, but it made me interested enough when PBS would show it after the Rambo cartoon before I had to do my homework.

The show was terrible to me then, but I'm sure somebody enjoyed it.
