Hello, my name is Thomas Anderson. I'm a hacker 24/7 unless I'm working for my bullshit boss at Metacortex being a software engineer. You don't know i-mockery. You came here with a rom hack that consisted entirely of text changes and thought it would fit in with the other ones we've featured on the site. Even a cursory glance at the rom hack section would tell you that we only feature hacks with altered sprites.

You're just a spammer who heard that rom hacks are featured on the site, so you thought you'd throw yours out because you thought it would be a sure thing.

We've already pointed out to you, several times, that the reason you're getting all this is because your hack is terrible. All you did was change some words around, but you claim it's a tribute to Army of Darkness because of that. That is stupid.

Plus, you've been going around the boards whining about how everyone hates you. That isn't helping you, nor is doing stupid shit like going into the art forum to post your hilarious "art sucks" jpg.

The whole game has been hacked besides graphics. Over worlds hacked, text hacked, towns hacked, everything rearranged, 4 new moves to get trough puzzles, dungeons hacked, and bosses slightly hacked....(you say hack it terrible but its not even out yet). I am not going to argue with a mod but I just want to let other rom hackers know not to come here and expect to be welcomed if you don't change graphics. (which I think is a fair statement from experience). My "Fuck Art" jpeg was way after, but probably didn't get me any points

changing text and levels isn't rom hacking, it's using an editor and/or being a faggot

So editing some dots in photoshop is rom hacking to you. Where all aspects of the game are the exactly the same except some graphics. I give you, a full game hack takes the most time and talent. Some of us do not have the resources to supply the 12 person, 2 year collaboration effort that "Zelda: Parallel Worlds" took to create. I just think that promoting one type of hack and shitting on another is hypocritical that is all i am saying.

Rom hacking involves at least a cursory glance at a hex editor and the more aspects of the game that are hacked, the better. Human beings are 70%+ visual, therefore images should be involved. Images are harder to replace than text, and sound is harder to replace than images.

The only way you could impress me with a text hack is if you personally coded in your own pointers to extend lines, but as we've already established you're just using someone else's editor to make minor changes to a game. It requires a minimum of effort and skill in hacking, and is not impressive to both the rom-hacking community and anyone who would play it - with or without knowledge of how rom hacking works.

I think you're missing the fact that this is a humor website and it's not going to be very funny posting screenshots of a game that look exactly like the original and commenting on someone else using jokes that someone else already made over a decade ago. There is a reason all the hacks that get reviewed have poorly drawn dicks all over them.

He edited the sprite, he edited the text, he edited the programming, he edited the music, he edited the manual! He made a fucking on-going storyline that ties together all the other hacks he's done.

What have you done? You flipped some level aspects around and changed Link's green clothes to black. Then you made two different text edits and called it two different hacks.

Your hack is nowhere near the level of a guy like Jomb. Not even close.

The quote is supposed to give well deserved respect to those that do full hacks not clam that I am one of those people. I have played Jomb's games over at badhacks I think he has lots of talent. However 90% of the other games on the site are not full game hacks (just sprite/text hacks which change nothing but look) thats all I was saying. Glad you agree that this is not a romhacker friendly site.
