The original miniseries came out within a few days of Michael Jackson burning his hair off in the Pepsi commerical. The only reason I know this is because 6 year old Kitsa made a note of it in her Hello Kitty diary.

I was very disappointed with the new series. The original mini series has an epic feel to it. I remember being terrified of it when I was a kid. I mean come on it had The Beastmaster in it.

This new one feels wrong. Why do they call the visitors V's? V was the symbol of the resistance. V for Victory. The new series uses the spray painted V as a symbol of honour for the Visitors. Did the writers of this even watch the original?

Everything moves along so fast. It felt like they were just trying to cram as much in that first episode as they could. Within minutes of the Visitors arriving, the humans are already going on guided tours of their ships.

I miss Marc Singer. He should make Beastmaster 4.
