Incidentally, (for kahl) they chose to try him in Virginia, because a.) the prosecutor had an excellent record in gaining convictions in capital murder cases, and b.) the appeals process in Virginia is one of the quickest in the country. 6 years from sentence to death. Damn near a record in this country. :(

Fun fact: a friend of mine in high school sold the DC sniper the very gun he was using. The business he worked for got shut down.
