View Full Version : Mods No More (live show chat rooms)

For those of you who've complained about over-moderation in the chat rooms during live episodes of Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum (which I've agreed with most of the time), I thought you'd like to know that ALL of them are being demodded and replaced by in-house people at theStream. It wasn't just a problem on our show, a lot of shows were receiving complaints about too many people getting banned, and the network along with its partners doesn't want to see people getting kicked out of the live chat rooms unless they really deserve it.

I know a bunch of you have posted on here before complaining about how you were booted from the chat rooms because a mod was being over-sensitive and simply didn't get your humor. Well, this should come as good news to you and hopefully that won't be the case anymore. That's not to say you should all of a sudden be on the warpath or anything, because there will obviously be mods for people who are intentionally trying to start shit in the chat rooms, but things should be much more relaxed now. Hooray! :picklehat

I stopped going right after I got banned the second time by some douche mod, so that is good news.

Yeah, you weren't the first to complain about it either, and some of the reasons people were booted from the chat rooms were ridiculous. So yeah, they're cleaning house with the mods and only using staff members from here on out to keep an eye on the chat rooms, rather than appointing random fans 'n what not who are too hyperactive when it comes to throwing down the banhammer.

Well, that's what those mods were use to. They probably just thought that you were a regular viewer.

I never got banned, and I was throwing all kinds of stupid shit out last night/this morning. Apparently, the new staff don't suck.

Good to hear. Now all you need to do is have your show come on at a reasonable hour :picklehat

Yeah, didn't hear any complaints last night about that. Thanks for watching!

Now all you need is to not be a pussy about staying up past midnight on a Friday night. :picklehat

I think it may be a lack of irony, I can see people like zomboid and chojin saying some pretty fucking offensive things, all in the spirit of being rascally misfits. And those who are not too familiar with the i-mock way of life may take an opportunity to smash their titanic moderator internet nuts against funny people's foreheads for whatever reason they can find.

Not really, most of us got banned for stupid shit. I think it was because we wont kiss the mods ass.

This is great news. I'm going to pretend that Mr. Mockery cracked some skulls and now s*it is running smoothly.
