I have a friend that works for a gaming magazine that said he could get me in the beta.
I got a very nice apology, and a cool official PlayStation notepad / CD holder / memory card case thing. :)

I went to BlizzCon last year, and I used the beta card they gave out as soon as I got home. The result was that I got into the SC2 beta immediately last week, and had a beta key waiting in my email inbox the day they launched it.

After about two days of playing the beta, I have to say it's really amazing. Epic. All the adjectives you can possibly think of.

Terrans seem to have a bit of a stronger offensive force, which is a decent change from the turtle style they had in Starcraft 1, siege tanks and such. Zerg seems a bit nerfed as well, which is always welcome. :)

As far as betas go and I have been in a lot, this is the most polished beta I have ever played in. There are features that are currently turned off in the new Battle net, but as far as the actual game-play goes, it could be shipped out tomorrow, but that isn't how Blizzard works, the only way they put out block buster hits every single time, is the attention to detail and passion that goes into every game they make.

Looking forward to it, the videos look good but I avoided the beta. RPG Land might have gotten some keys but I'm not sure.

Could've been, but didn't have the time so I sold my BlizzCon card. I'll definitely get the game when it comes out so hopefully we can all set up some big I-Mockery multiplayer games like we did with the original Starcraft.

Ive been playing the beta. I am disapointed in the sense that it is so much like the original, but at the same time thats why I like it.

The starcraft series is by far the most balanced(especially considering how different each race is) RTS.

We need to get some games going!

Sadly right now the beta is basically unplayable. They release a patch and almost every game now lags and drops players.
