So is anybody here buying anything on Black Friday (online or in stores). If so, what are you getting?

I'm in the market for a new computer, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled, but there's no way I'm gonna camp out at any stores.

I scored random stuff online (toys, clothes, etc) for cheap. I like sites like retailmenot for good coupon codes (free shipping and stuff like that)...usually I can reduce the cost of a purchase by at least $5-10.

We wait until after Christmas to look for cheap bargains here in the more civilised nations.

I have a Greek cousin who always has it made. She gets to shop for Greek Christmas, so she gets the best deals.

Speaking of black friday there was supposedly a big 40+ person brawl on the parking lot of a Best Buy near where I live

Definitely not doing Black Friday because I don't think it's worth the time and trouble. I went last year and I just ended up with some clothes. The sales are usually average at best.

Got two new pairs of jeans for $20. That's like a second Christmas for Texans.

Everything on Amazon had some sort of discount going, so I did a ton of on line (way better then in line) xmas shopping

I went to Fry's in City of Industry. Below freezing. Got there about 10:30, as usual. Bought a 16GB Flash drive for $20, 200 DVDs for $20 and my first netbook for $150. Took all day to set it up, but now it's spiffy. A little slow, but it works.

Was Hickory Farms on sale for Black Friday? I would have totally stocked up on fat wieners and crackers.

I'm going shopping next week. Most of my stuff is done, I just have a couple who are difficult to buy for. I think I'm going to buy liquor for my mom. Classy!

Four pairs of pants, a business suit, two camis, two tank tops, a dressy sweater, and a black dress classy enough to wear to a military ball for $180.

No, not from walmart.

This isn't exactly black friday but I don't want to make a new thread.

Fuck SkyMall up its fucking ass.

I had dismissed them previously as being overpriced Hammacher Schlemmer-style stuff marketed toward a bored captive audience, so I was surprised when their price on a gift was the cheapest online. I went ahead and ordered, all was fine.

Suddenly I get the following email:

"Your SkyMall Order Status- Cancelled

Thank you for shopping with SkyMall. We regret to inform you that your order for the item mentioned below will not be fulfilled. This may be due to a request from you to cancel the order or may be due to a Merchant discontinuation of the item. "

I see I was wrong to give them a chance. >:
