Damn it, I don't know what it was but I just couldn't get that into the episode. I don't know, maybe I was but I just feel off.

I have the same exact sentiments as Willie except I was not aware of the voice actor Star Trek relation and I sadly peeked at a spoiler for the ending but not on the level of actually watching the comparison. I didn't feel like it was referencing it at all until the wipe.

Also I loved Rarity snapping at Applejack and fluttershy's heedless antagonizing.

Edit! I have been rewatching this episode like no other and I just love it!

MAGIC KINDERGARTEN. genuinely pissed off celestia. rainbow dash in "deal with it/muscles glasses" shades. big macintosh exploding out of a pile of ponies. plus all the stuff you mentioned (crazy, crazy, creepy fucking crazy twilight, rainbow dash is a nuclear weapon, and fluttershy kills a bear by breaking its neck (oh wait no she's just a kung-fu chiropractor)). although i'll admit I'd like it better if the next couple weren't completely madcap like this one.

I liked and hated the fluttershy bit. I hope they don't go overboard with the whole "wow did fluttershy really do that?" Some of the insane twilight felt a little dragging to me but it was awesome. And I was god damn giddy the whole time Twilight went after the CMC. Even though I knew exactly what the plan was. I think genuinely pissed off Celestia and Rainbow's muscle glasses were the best things in that ep. Also "I thought we ordered more last week? Hmm, we must be ahead."

P.S. I wonder what Celestia's punishment was gonna be.

I didn't really enjoy the halloween episode very much. Nightmare Moon came off incredibly hokey to me. It fit but it was really hokey and annoying. However the end is what made this with Pinkie's logic. EDIT: And as I think more about the more I love this episode. Pinkie is a clueless dick. :lol PS: Holy shit this episode is an underdog. Pinkie's logic at the end keeps digging at me and the whole first half of the episode is just fucking surreal now. I rewatched it twice and only feel slightly better about the episodeIDK about Luna, they're gonna have to put out another episode or make her an appearance so she seems likeable cause right now it's just TROGLODYTE, TRADITION, AWKWARD, AWKWARD, AWKWARD. Though I'll admit it was hilarious when she pointed at the devil pony and it cringed.

I enjoyed the fluttershy scene and RD's enthusiasm. And I guess I enjoyed Derpy's cameo only for the fact that her/his costume was literally paper bags. I also love the touch they did with undertaker Big Mac doing hay rides and "I wanted to be a zombie next year". I love Mayor Mare's entire thing in that episode.

If it weren't for the fact that this show is just absolutely charming I'd be all "welp 2 minute marker so this is the end here." They throw all of the hints in there but by the time it gets there I'm all just all waiting for the next thing to show up. God damn I love this show. I cracked up on Rarity's parents, especially the Dad's cutie mark, Rarity being a huge cunt in the beginning, and Rarity losing it on Sweetie Bell's drawing.

I liked the episode but the problem I'm having with the recent batch is They are getting way too heavy center on one pony for my liking. I mean, I liked the rock opera thing they put in for RD and the dream sequence was absolutely awesome. I don't think they were referencing 127 hours since I've never seen the movie, but I think they did. :o Also loved the Tortoise gag. Also lol at Pinkie "He did say that! That was the rule!" and Applejack "Aww look, he even smiles slow!"

They really need an adventure episode. They're getting self-referential. Also, I hate to say it but I think the ending to Lesson Zero was literally a death knell. :( They were having ponies other than Twilight giving their speeches to Celestia before then but they were trying to work the story where the opportunity would arise.

Berlin, 15 November: Berlin State Parliament group meeting. The Pirates can't agree on whom they want to delegate to the committees of the House of Representatives. Then the parliamentary secretary Martin Delius speaks up:


"Is it possible to place a request for Pony Time?"

Session leader and parliamentary leader Andreas Baum is not impressed: 




"Pony Time? I am against it."

"An episode, perceived as appropriate by the meeting’s leaders, of the series 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' will be played." 





This pony provision, however, was only presented in writing, and never read out loud. So really, hardly anyone knew what they were voting on, recalled State Parliament Member Heiko Herberg on his podcast:
