Didn't see a thread for this so sorry if it's a repost but... I just saw it a few months ago and it is absolutely the most amazing movie I've ever experienced. I dare you to watch it with friends and not repeat its lines for weeks after. This man is pure genius.

I hope the Rocky Horror style screenings spread further than Los Angeles because it sounds like awesome fun.

Tommy Wiseau has got to be one of the most fascinating "directors" i've seen. What the hell is with the accent? Nobody on planet earth talks like that. He also seems to think he is a new Orson Wells and doesn't take kindly to criticism. Recently, The Nostalgia Critic made a review of the movie and Tommy, pretending to be a lawyer, demanded that the review must be removed from the site or else. There are apparently other similar cases too.
Also what I find funny is that The Room is clearly supposed to be a serious drama, but after seeing that the movie is a huge joke to everyone, instead of admitting that he made a shitty movie, Tommy suddenly started calling it a "black comedy".
But who knows. Maybe the accent is part of his public image and he really made The Room as shitty as humanly possible on purpose. Then he really would be one of the best filmmakers ever.

I went to a screening in Chicago a few months ago. Never in my life did I imagine that I would be seeing a movie where the audience would be chanting "FUCK THE CORPSE! FUCK THE CORPSE!"

Can you actually believe that Tommy Wiseau had the audacity to state that this movie was made with the intentions of being a comedy? I've heard that numerous cast members were saying that he was trying to be dead serious in making a real Drama.
Wiseau during an interview trying to admit "The Room" was made the way it was on purpose.

Nevertheless, a product of the obscure comedy.
