Maybe this is an internet thing, but all of my work/shows/everything are not where I live. There's only one really uncomfortable, ended-badly exception to that. The galleries in town won't give me the time of day.
It's a weird feeling.

I've lived someplace good before and that doesn't seem to make much of a difference, although I was going to some heavy-ass gradschool back then and ran with a different crowd.
I sort of like being incognito. I just don't like the BUT, BUT...YOU DON'T GET WHAT I'M GOING FOR feeling and that when the summer art festivals come up it's other cities sending me invites, not my own.
