There use to be a thread for this a while back but ROG gave me the go ahead to start a new one because it's old and forgotten.

Came in the mail on Saturday (Link, not the chickens). Came with a yelling face and a neat sword effect piece and one of those clear stands that Japanese toys come with to do cool action poses because Japanese kids have all the toys I always wanted growing up :(

Yea, the Link's a figma. Real expensive cause you gotta import that shit from Japan. Same with Michael Jackson. I got the Samus Figma during the summer but I actually don't have any photos of her for some reason. It's fucking gorgeous.

Imma post a shitload of random photos because I feel the need to validate the hundreds of plastic rocks collecting dust in my bedroom.

Will post some toys later when I have a chance, but here's one of my favorite ones from recent years that you've probably already seen in my Halloween candy review:

http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/halloween-candy2012/i-mockery-dot-com-trick-r-treat-sam-halloween-candies.gif
A Sideshow Collectibles "Sam" from the Trick 'R Treat horror anthology.

You can take the mask off, but I always preferred him with the burlap sack on. Was real lucky to pick him up when he was still cheap.

Ex Leper
Nov 28th, 2012, 05:38 PM
I have tons of other great toys I should be getting from a guy I trade with soon.

Zomboid
Nov 28th, 2012, 08:29 PM
I had that Candyman and a the suit-wearing Leatherface, but my chihuahua chewed up Candyman over the course of a few weeks and I recently put away almost all of my toys. I've got a replica of Longclaw, some nerdy collector's edition shit, and some nerdy framed pictures, so I guess I figured the toys were a bit much.

Ex Leper
Nov 28th, 2012, 08:30 PM
It's almost impossible to find an opened Candyman figure with his hook still attached.

Zomboid
Nov 28th, 2012, 08:36 PM
Yeah, that hook didn't last long at all. I picked up him and the Tall Man (with dwarf and gateway pole things) for really cheap like five years ago when this one store was going out of business. Those movie maniacs seemed to be more cheaply made as time went on; my Freddy Krueger and his stand are still fine, but both the stand and Candyman himself were really fragile and basically glued together.

Ex Leper
Nov 28th, 2012, 08:39 PM
Of all the ones that I just got, I'd say Leatherface is the best made. I think The Tall Man is a different company, not that it matters.

I used to own that Quasimodo Ghostbusters figure, which is shown in the first post. It makes me sad. :( Toys used to be so cool. I remember when I used to go shopping with my mom and she left me at the toy shelves and I just stared at the toys and time seemed to disappear. Then my mom came to get me but I never wanted to leave that magical place. :(

Fuck you beer for making me be nostalgic.

I got this Barack Obama action figure as a gag gift back in '08 or early '09. I'd upload a picture of my own doing something presidential, but it's unopened and after watching Tales From The Hood this past Halloween, it's gonna stay that way.

Also, I REALLY want this:

I actually got a toy for my Birthday for the first time in like 15 years. It's a large Star Wars Darth Vader Transformer that has four different modes!
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-01.jpg
A friend of mine said if Vader looked like this in the movies, Luke would of pissed his pants and run away screaming. :xmas1
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-02.jpg
Yes, that is a flaming light-saber. I'm pretty impressed with all of the little details.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-03.jpg
All four modes light up and have appropriate voices and sounds effects.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-04.jpg
The second mode is a Star Destroyer. It all snaps together nicely and it's also very detailed.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-05.jpg
Again, every mode lights up and has sound effects that correspond to each different mode.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-06.jpg
This is Anakin Skywalker mode. In addition to the dual blue light-sabers, there's also a shield you can give him.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-07.jpg
Though the shield one doesn't look nearly as nice when lit. :xmas1

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-09.jpg
The last mode is a Jedi Cruiser.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/dextire/Imock%20misc/transformer/transformer-08.jpg
I like how different each mode looks from one another. This one fires those two missiles on top.

Far from it, unfortunately. Hot Toys is the one brand I dare not start collecting as well. All the extra cost importing them makes them way too expensive...sucks, because they are the best 12" figures you can get.

My Iron Man is just a mostly static electronic 12" kiddie toy. :\

Maybe it's my illustration background, but it took a good 30 minutes and about 15 photos to get that shot just right :\

Samus is going back up for preorder along with Link pretty soon (or maybe it already has? I dunno.)

I think I paid $35-40 for mine before shipping, but the yen was waaaaaay stronger at the time, so you'll probably get a better deal once it's rereleased.
