The thing about this whole banner dust up is not that W. once again lied, not that he tried to pin the blame on the navy, not that no one in the Navy is willing to support his claim that the banner was their idea, not that Mclellan had to publicly admit the banner was produced by the white house, not that Bush was wrong about his advancemen who had been planning the event for days, not that when message banners visible behind the presdient during all photo ops are a standard procedure for his advance team and he expectd the public to think this one time the message banner was just a co-inky-dink.

The thing is, the distatseful thing, is how snarky, whiny and unmanly W. was in answering the question.

Which is why his folks don't want the poor bastard off book and why he gives less press conference than any modern president. Off the cuff he comes across as just what he is. A privilidged whiny preppie who took to playing good 'ol boy to mask the fact that he wasn't anywhere near as smart as your average priviliged whiny preppie.

I never could have imagined saying this about... well... anyone, but Junior isn't half the man his father was.

If that is the case then you probably should check your nose to see if it is bleeding after that funny response.

Anyone who has a clue as to what that last jibe means, chime in.

Here's my guess. I'd get a nose bleed from the train, becuase I must have meant my jokes don't come easily, becuase he created that democratic baby logo himself.

I'm sure that graphic was right under his submarine letter.

When I saw the word "nose" I figured he was heading in the direction of another Jew remark, but.. no..

I'm stumped.

I believe what he is trying to say is that when he does something that requires very little effort (to a normal person), like cutting and pasting, it causes so much strain on him that he gets a nosebleed. So by you saying it is as difficult for you to come up with an original idea as it is for him to cut and paste something he thought that you put as much strain on yourself as he does and as a result you got a bloody nose. Or maybe he’s just retarded and that comment made no sense.

why do you do it vince? What is this childish take you have on subjects you don't like? Most all your comments are of the most ignorant kind...it is humorous to see that someone, such as yourself, hasn't been banned here!!
In terms of your abilities to discuss, argue and set precidence for intelligent conversations I would have thought that your "master" had tought you better!!!
You are a very bored child who needs to get some positive stimuli> Now, hurry up and run off! With that "condition" of yours, I am quite sure that out there in the great somewhere, is a BIG, FAT needle screaming just to be plunged in you!

Can you post something with relevance to Max's subject, or are you going to troll your way through this one too? :rolleyes

has anyone ever been banned from I-mock?

i hope not.. and hope no one does.. i don't mind skipping drivel :)

mburbank
Nov 6th, 2003, 06:34 PM
The topic had to do with W's, if I may borrow a term here, 'pussified' response to a reporters questiin ragarding the banner on the USS lincoln directly behind the president during his speech declaring major combat over in Iraq. It read 'Mission Accomplished'. Bush claimed, rather peevishly, that the banner belonged to the navy and reffered to the Lincolns Mission.

The press secretary later had to admit that the banner was manufactured by the white house and transported to the Lincoln by the whitehouse, but hung by sailors. The whitehouse should not be held responsible for things they make and transport which Sailors then hang up.

I was pointing out that what really bothered me personally about the incident was not the banner or the prevarication, or even the by niow typical Bush finger pointing and blame shifting, it was the presidents use of Clintonian parsing. This banner wasn't our idea, it was the Navies.

The One and Only...

Sounds like quite the nitpick.

mburbank
Nov 6th, 2003, 06:50 PM
It is a nitpick. All personality analysis is nitpicking. Do I think this particular example of his whinyness is damaging? Not at all. But this reflexive, snarky, pussified, it-ain't-never-mah-fault, dumbass preppie pretending to be a good o'l boy, nitpicky as it may be, is one of the many, many, many, many reasons I think W is a sack of crap who's only where he is because his dad was President and his friends are rich.

Now the fact that a guy like that is President at a time like this... well, that isn't nitpicking. Screw the banner. It's what the reaction shows you about the man that concernss me.

The One and Only...
Nov 6th, 2003, 07:03 PM
I don't picture you making as big a deal out of Clinton's reaction to being confronted with his bj as you did this...

Nov 6th, 2003, 07:16 PM
oh yea burb, i thought this was funny because bush spoke again when he didnt know what he was talking about.. just another case of him not being informed.. i'm sure there's plenty he's deliberately not informed about. i kinda ignored this whole who did what about the banner story..

actually i thought i was in the 'remember when clinton pussyfied thread thing' i still don't know how that had to do with clinton.

mburbank
Nov 7th, 2003, 09:09 AM
No, but my viceral disgust was pretty much the same over the "It depends on what 'is' is." bullshit, and the idea that Clinton hadn't 'techincally' lied becuase getting a blow job didn't meet his deffinition of Sexual relations.

Clintons adultery is none of my business and W. can hang any stupid ass banner he wants, but neither one of them has a spine when it comes to taking responsability.

I should make "I hated Clinton" part of my damn signature so you mooks will remember it. Nowhere near as much as I hate W, but then I hate W. more than I did his dad and Reagan and even my youthful recollection of Nixon. But that's like saying just because I hate Aids means I'm in favor of getting hit by a bus.

The One and Only...

Only if they're dishonered. Which requires self awareness. Which lets Vinthy boy right out of the picture.

And of course I hated Reagan. But nowhere near as much as I hate W. Reagan was just bumbling through early stage Alsheimers, and he wasn't mean per se, just detatched. W.'s only brain issue is being bone stupid and he's a weasely son of a bitch.

Reagan 'won the cold war' by engaging the soviets in an arms race and bankrupting them by getting them to spend most of the GNP in war on Afghanistan. Kind of like what Al Quaeda is doing to us right now.

The One and Only...
Nov 8th, 2003, 03:39 PM
I'm not talking about the "Cold War" thing. His tactics on winning that would probably be my major complaint about him. Well, that and the fact that he put a really big New Right, neoconservative spin on the direction of the Republican Party... but that, however, I consider necessary for the time when he was president.

What I'm asking is why did you *hate* Reagan, not which parts of Reagan's presidency did you dislike? Surely a man that had taxes cut and revenues doubled during his reign deserves some respect among liberals and conservatives alike. Granted, tax cuts do tend to lower revenues rather than raise them, but still...
