I know that Crichton is too mainstream for my artfag kindren, but come on. Both quantum physics and the 14th century make me :wank
I loved the book, and I have very high expectations for the movie. Too bad it's PG-13. My favorite part of the book is when he mentions the horse kicking around the decapitated body of the army dude. If I were the director, I'd have that scene in the movie last at least, AT LEAST, three minutes.

The book was pretty good, but I don't have any high expectations for this movie. :(
Lost World just ruined my desire to see more Crichton books turned into movies. :(

Jurrasic Park was a great book. The movie sucked though. >:

I didn't see Congo until after Lost World came out. It made me cry. :(
Sphere wasn't that bad, but it still kinda sucked. Thirteenth Warrior was good, but there was a lot of the book that was left out, particularly the extra gory scenes. :(

13th Warrior is both hated and loved here in Norway. Hated because of a lot of misconceptions when it comes to Vikings, and loved because of the misconceptions when it comes to Vikings. It's great fun to watch Americans try to phonetically reproduce sentences, and at least half of the Norwegians are Danish.

Timeline looks too farfetched for my tastes. I enjoy Michael Crichton's writings, but I think time travel is going a little too far in his case.
